Referees don't pick sides mate. Ferguson is the best manager in the game, and Scholes even now is better than most midfielders in the league so I don't believe that was a desperate move at all. United are still the biggest team in the world, and they'll be signing world-class players. To write them off before the season has even started is mad.

I think City is a more likely destination than Utd. If your going to upset the applecart, you may as well steal all the gold from the bank on the way past.
And besides, Arsenal are Cities feeder club, so it makes sense.

If I were in charge of Arsenal's transfer policy I would say to Robin "Fine you can go, but we're not selling you to a Premiership team"

With only a year left on his contract they unfortunately don't have a lot of choice in the matter...!!

How much do we all reckon Arsenal will get for him? I reckon not much more than £10m.

I'd say Real Madrid are bigger, United are second though.

scholes would walk into ANY premiership team, England as well. Sir Alex is obviously stung by not winning anything last season and will invest heavily this summer. Sir Alex also buys for the future and is not afraid of playing youth- unlike City. I think he is the only person that could take a donkey winger like Fletcher and turn him into one of the countries best midfielders. The fact that he is a miserable git is not in question

Wow, you're seriously writing off United? Alex Ferguson's Manchester United? That's ridiculous.

They've got no money, and will struggle to attract top players now. Can't see them winning the league.

Have to agree with PompeyLapras, if I was in charge I'd let him go abroad for much less money than I would accept from a domestic rival. Getting rid of him from the league is worth a few million quid at least.
