I thought that we definitely had our chances to knock United out but we didnt take ours and they took theirs. A couple of things I want to say though:
    1. I think that we should stay with Carlo and I hope Roman doesn't get rid of him. He is a quality manager and although we probably wont win a thiing this season, he got us the double last season and Im sure we can do well next season with him too.

2.Although I do wan Carlo to stay, why did he bring on Kalou for Anelka? For me, Kalou is hopeless and I would love to see him go in the summer.

    3. Nani. On some occasions when he got tackled he did a gesture to the ref indicating to show the player a yellow card. Why do this? Really unsporting. Also, when he was tackled by ramires for the sending off, he was slamming the ground as if he had been shot! He needs to grow up.

    4. Lastly Torres. Yes he hasnt scroed goals but he has played well (apart from yesterday) which is good. After a pre season with the squad, he will be scoring goals next season.

Oldham fan, so not exactly neutral.

However, as much as I was hoping Man U would get knocked out last night I don't think you can deny the fact that they deserved to win. Chelsea were awful - they just seemed to lack the strength to keep possession in the box.

I agree with you on one thing - Nani is a cheat. Well, he's about as bad as Drogba, except Nani has one of those faces you've never tire of punching.

Hernandez and Park were excellent, as was van der Saar - better tacking than we see at Boundary Park on a match day.

drogba has stopped all his drama. i havent seen him really throw himself on the ground in a while now. nani meanwhile does it consistently

Over the two legs united deserved to go through no question but such a shame we didn't take any of our chances in the first half an hour. We dominated that first 30 minutes as much as could be expected and had we scored I think we may have progressed. However United rode the storm and played very well from that point on and for me is was all but over once Hernandez scored.

Least for once it wasn't a bad decision that put us out (the pen that wasn't in the first leg didn't help though), we just need to be more clinical. Probably the story of our season.

Once again our poor finishing and lack of real creative spark has let us down. We have spent 50 million on a striker who either sits on the bench or means our other world class striker has to, when we are (and have been for a while) crying out for a top notch creative midfield / winger. Have we ever really replaced Robben?

Our side seems to lack cohesion at the moment. We are probably only 1-2 clever signings away from being a top top side again but we look so disorganised compared to United.

Yeah Nani goes down easy. But who was it who dived twice in the first leg for penaltys :)
