I know it's early days but frankly the communication from the new owners to anybody - fans - employees - media - is very poor.

You would expect at least an official announcement on completion of the deal. A proper one, not a 5 liner.

And you would definitly expect a statement & thank you for all your hard work if you are letting someone go such as SD.

    Nothing!

Say what you will about the short lived spell of Baz which will be forgotten in the dustbin of history after a short time one would expect but in fact his takeover was quite transparent - we got to see details of the documents - we got official statements - and initially when there were transfers we were given all the details which I've never known a club to do before.

So far it has felt a little like our family club has been taken away from us and things will not be the same ever again.

Good luck to SD and I hope his wait for a pay-off was worth it. Let's make sure we give him a good welcome back when he surfaces sometime soon at a club near us :)

Maybe they'll make an official statement when the deal is officially approved by the Football League?

Communication isn't one of the Pozzo's strong points according to fans of the club they already run and experiences I've read of fans who know about them in Spain/Italy.

Chris--the Bas takeover was more conducted in the public eye because at that point we were an AIM -listed public company, and there were shareholders to consider--publication of terms and conditions of the offer and final deal was a requirement. Bas took the club private, and now nothing need be said-- the sale is a transaction between private parties. Likewise we will never know the state of the balance sheet, nor how the revenues for the last year were spent, or how the bond repayments were financed if the former/present owners choose not to tell us , (or unlesssomeone does some leaking/digging). All unlikely.

The Pozzo's do need to show some respect to Dyche, say what their intentions are , properly introduce the new management team and show that they understand the traditions and ethos of the club. Has anyone asked GT his opinion on all this?

There are a number of things about this deal that may come out. Kevin Affleck who did call it correctly, suggested that the bonds could remain in place with the Pozzo family taking them over. Will David Franson who has money invested be paid off and have no further involvement? Will the Pozzo family have control over the Red Lion?

The company that has been set up to buy the club will have to be registered somewhere. In the UK or somewhere else? The accounts have to be lodged with the football league, hence Brums transfer embargo because they haven't put them in in time.

So what is the general consensus on the takeover? Are you optimistic or pessimistic?

I have always admired Watford, always. Pleasantly surprised you sell your best players and manage to do even better the next year. It has always seemed you have a tight budget and yet, seem to always do well - relative to your expenditure.

Are you expecting an influx of young Italian loanees?

We are presuming that that is the case, we are still waiting for some meat on information from the new owners. Hopefully this will be the week when we get some real information;) (As for Norwich, a close female friend :emoticon-0152-heart of mine supports them so I do look out for your scores)

I know this sounds crazy.... a lot crazier than people are expecting, but I've been told that Watford could be spending big.. £15m for transfers. Spending on youth and equipment/diets will be increased as well. However it's likely that some players will be coming in from Udinese to put them in the shop window.

Blimey - the shops in Watford must have gone up market since I was last there - hardly known as the Harrods of the transfer market. ;)

I wonder if Blart is an acronym. Although, according to the Urban Dictionary it's a fart with blood in it - I definitely think that isn't what Al meant.
