Just purchased a couple in the Upper Loft, back row so at least I can stand up to prevent deep vein thrombosis and I know there will be no ****ing pillars blocking the action. Chastening to think that over a grand for an adult and a young adult ticket equates to approximately 1/70th of Barton's weekly wage. There seems to be enough availability, but perhaps not the best seats left. Lower Loft and W block Ellerslie Road ( or the block closest to School End) seem to have plenty of space. Get in to make sure you have first pick at the new stadium! Frankly so chuffed to have got these that whatever happens this afternoon is just icing on the cake.
Pure Speculation.....the line that Tony says that its a 'Statement of Intent' from the board is intriguing. Maybe its the Mittals further increasing their shareholding, and annoucing a MASSIVE injection of cash? - Wrong Thread - please delete!!
I've just bagged the back row of ML Lower Loft for me and my two girls. ( Right behind you Judo and SussexR ) Exactly for the same reasons you have Stan ( FFS ) I'm 6'2 and can now stand if I need to. I'll miss the Upper Loft but I need to keep my girls interested. I have no son so they have to carry on the family tradition. As an aside I had to pay close to a grand yet on the QPR site it had an offer of 1 adult 2 U16s £799.00? I couldn't seem to get that deal on-line? Any advice? .... anyone?
A statement of intent if not the Stadium can really only be confirmation of Park as a marquee signing or possibly / hopefully Del Piero or similar ilk from a top drawer club
QPR shoot themselves in the foot again! The reason there looks to be availability in the Lower Loft is because you can't buy a ticket there unless you have got kids. The vast majority of seats around me (for the last 16 years) are adults with a smattering of parents with kids. The aim to make the whole Lower Loft a family only enclosure has resulted in the gaps and it is going to look rather sad looking at the home end half empty during an evening kick off. Even if Rangers see the error of their ways and change things back after a season it is still no good as there will be no chance of getting all the crew sat together again. Poor show.
That's not right Nines. Did you book online? I'd give the box office a ring, it's very clearly £799 for an adult and 2 U16s. Just noticed that I could have saved £240 by going Lower Loft, didn't realize that U21s were allowed in too. Mind you with the language that both my son and I use during games, I think we'd be asked to leave pretty quickly.
I've always thought that the School End should be made available for home fans. It would be far better to make the west Ellerslie Road stand available for away fans, blocks x and w, maybe v for bigger matches. This would also look better for us on televised games. The School End is un-obstricted good viewing and is wasted on away folk.
We cant do it because of no segregation. The best we can do is give them the upper tier only. Id also have liked the family area to be the corner of SAR. Making the LL the family stand is just wrong, as is turfing out single ticket holders.
No worries there mate, my two daughters have caught onto the songs and colloquial slang from sitting at various places in the stadium. I did my best as a parent and then introduced them to QPR... Ho-hum. I'll be contacting the Box-Office, or TF as he renders himself so accessible. Cheers mate.
Congratulations mate. I hope to join you but I’m starting to doubt that there will be any left for non-members, especially in a seat I can actually sit in. So when will that new stadium be built?
I reckon there will be seats left, especially if you get on as soon as they are released, but whether you will want to pay that amount for where they will be is the question. I seriously thought, with the messages the club has been sending out, that there would be very little left for members, but in fact there was choice almost everywhere except the expensive seats in South Africa Road.
Looking forward to my first season as a Season Ticket holder (always been a member before now) - and having my name on my seat... Got in there nice and early at 10am today and I've got a front row seat in GL in the Paddock right next to the loft - hopefully means I'll hear less of the away end!
Forcing those who have been ST holders for a very long time in the LL out has been tony and cos biggest mistake so far
