Another striker? Can't see it.there is talk of Harry Kane coming to us from Spurs on a season long loan
My mistake I know, but I have just been on the Echo website. You have to laugh at the quality of the reporting. These are the opening lines on a piece discussing Adkins transfer dealings this time around:
"NIGEL Adkins has so far signed two new players for Saints’ Premier League return, with a third expected to arrive soon.
And it’s certainly safe to say he is only halfway through his transfer preparations.
The St Mary’s boss has so far brought in a striker, a central midfielder and a left back. "
Signed two players and named three positions! You have to laugh.
Zaha's a strange one, he has a lot of ability, it just happens when we played them Adkins had a fantastic plan to prevent him doing anything which effectively stopped Palace from getting any result against us.
He has a temperament which I see as his main problem, plus I wonder how Zaha and Danny Fox would get on considering Fox kept kicking him up in the air at St. Mary's and I know Zaha expressed his dislike of that over twitter.
Overall, I would have him for £6m as he has a big future in the game and its scary to think he's still only 19. I wouldn't want to pay any more than that though.
Not sticking up for the echo, I'm sure they're terrible, but that seems awfully fussy.
Spurs will sign Zaha.
He will sit in their reserves/bench up to Christmas and get loaned out to Charlton at the end of the January transfer window.

I was merely justifying the games against us, but the matches from what I've seen him in against other teams he has shown a lot of ability, he regularly beats his man, has bundles of amount of skill and a lot of pace. No doubt I have noticed his crossing does let him down but that's the same with a lot of wingers these days. Possibly, one of the reasons he has lacked in assists is down to the front man, Palace fans stated they need an out and out goal scorer. Whereas, we have Lambert!! Plus, the big thing is he is only 19 and has a lot of experience for someone that age. I wouldn't say I'm a big fan of his but I can see there is a talent and if Adkins wants him and sees him fitting in then I am all for it.
