just got back from the game, which i really enjoyed...there was only 200-300 of us there, but we did our best to make our voices heard, with 90 minutes of singing, including a seemingly never ending chorus, of -shel be wearing black and amber when she comes... the game itself was a bit strange, the 1st 65 minutes we seemed content, to do an experiment of how many shots we could let swansea have before they scored... then the last 25 minutes we where a different side, we created 2 golden chances to win it, and 2 or 3 other half chances.. cant complain with a draw tho, as they could have been 3-0 up at half time.. i dont want to criticise players, but theres no getting away from the fact that we became a different side, after the subs..simpson and garcia for harper and mclean.. with special credit for simpson, who was brilliant, changed the game for me, created a goal, almost created another and almost scored, was at the centre of everything after he came on, and seemed to wake fryatt up!. evans seemed to come into his own, once playing next to chester in a 4-4-2, which was nicely balanced, chester swept up, and evans started to get involved more in play....and garcia offered width, and some aerial threat.. the contrast between the last 25 minutes and the start was so great, i really hope we start the game on saturday with the side that finished.. duke rosenoir-gerrard-hobbs-dawson garcia-chester- evans -koren simpson-fryatt a little different to what we have been starting with, but we all know it hasnt been working at home, so changes are needed, and hopefully they would carry some momentum from the end of this game..
I agree, would like to see Garcia and Simpson either side of Fryatt, think the McLean-Fyatt partnership has gone a bit stale!
when i was writing this in the early hours, i thought to myself somebody will make a joke about the title, and surprisingly, you where the bookies favourite..
