    About bloody time!!!!
Do we know if this is literally for disputed goals, or can it be used for corners/goal kicks too?

This is probably the only issue I find myself agreeing with Platini. It is the start of a slippery slope. OK - so the Ukrainian ' goal ' would have been awarded with this technology but the bloke was offside. Cue clamber for offside technology! But there was also a foul in the build up - cue clamber for further technology etc etc etc. Before we know it our game is more stop start than NFL. I agree with the further touchline officials but that is as far as it goes - if mistakes are still made then tough luck. Give these touchline officials more authority to stamp out the ludicrous amount of shirt pulling at set pieces which is a bigger threat to the authority of the game than 2 or 3 ' goal ' mistakes a season.

I agree with 1950 that I think it will not end with goal line technology. I am not against it if it proves 100% whether a goal has been scored.
What I am concerned about is that if it happens at Carrow Road, against us, and the crowd waits for an answer and a goal is given, will it end with the referee just pointing to the centre circle and, righto, accept it and get on with it. Or will managers want to see what the 2nd ref, or whoever sits in judgement is called, sees and then still disagree.
I don't believe for one moment that Ferguson would accept anybody elses judgement if he thought there was some doubt.
    Is it totally conclusive?

i believe it will help discipline in the game. no need to argue anymore, the ref has had help from technology. i agree it may lead to demands for further technology in the game but frankly its been needed for the goal line for years

Its about time, you can seperate other infringments from goaline because there is no opinion needed, its just stating a fact i.e did the ball actually cross the line or not. any other infringement like handball or even offside there could still be debate even with technology, and to be honest the only opinion that should be final in those decisions is the ref.

Tennis and cricket are better with the use of technology.
