    What about hot Raclette after a skiing I was in a restaurant in France where the record was on the menu someone ate 1.7 kilos of the stuff.

    Yes I know it's predictable and ever so cliched but a ripe Roquefort - the king of cheeses - on a bitterly food winters day with the logburner stoked up. Slightly sweating with a Warres '83, some cracked walnuts, a couple of figs and a cohiba robusto. Heaven.

    A half inch chunk of Wexford mature cheddar, on me mudder's brown bread, washed down with a creamy pint at me mudder's pub..........aaaahhhhhh!

    must admit to not being a big fan of cheese
    just the usual edams,mild chedders etc but the sneaky gits over here even melt it onto bread so you have to be careful when buying your lunch
    Downside of living in a country whose no 1 export is dairy

    Battered deep fried camenbert with redcurrent jelly or Wensleydale with cranberries.
