Ben Alnwick has signed for Barnsley today and leaves Spurs after several years of neglible contribution to our club. I hope for his sake, he gets his attitude right and is able to return to regular football and regains the form which once made him seem a decent prospect.
good to see you still got a role at the club Spurcat...and well what say you about Lioris?? i thought we would be chomping at the bits to get him in? apologies off topic i know..never rated Ben.
Spurlock To signLloris would be a big statement of intent. I know Harry went to watch him several times, but he was very set in his ways on keepers and much preferred the older keepers (hence his love for David James and Brad). Hopefully the new manager is more open minded.
well heres hoping...like you say if we did get him in..it is a massive coup...Gomes getting near the first team sends shudders down my spine..Brad did well for us but he is 41 now...i know we have been looking at the Butland(sp) youngster but as a first team starter? go on Levy..get Lloris in.
If I was in charge, this would be his means of transportation to Barnsley... please log in to view this image
We shouldn't be too rude about him, one day he might be in the same position as Martin Fulop was for the last game of last season. Lets just wish him luck.
Can somebody please think of poor old Barnsley? Alnwick was shocking for us, but he's still relatively young for a keeper, so perhaps this will wake him up a bit? Good luck to him.
