NEW STRIKER 1 (Adebayor). ✔
NEW STRIKER 2. 1/2 Could argue that Dempsey is the versatile forward player we were after
Versatile winger. 1/2 Could argue that Dempsey is the versatile forward player we were after
A Goalkeeper. ✔
Resolve Modric's future and replace if necessary. 1/2 Time will tell how succesfully he have prepared for life after Luka, hopefully Dembele will grow into a deeper midfield role.
Resolve King's future. ✔
Shift deadwood (Jenas, Bentley, Giovani etc). 1/2 A few players out, a few out on loans, Jenas and Bentley still clinging on <doh>
A role for Sherwood. &#10004;

On paper this looks to be the most successful summer we've had for a while. The only real disappointment for me was the failure to get Moutinho in, but he was clearly not value for money so I can understand the club's stance. Oh, and the loss of VdV s mildly heart-breaking. Exciting, if uncertain, times ahead.
 
It'll all start unfolding nicely now though, WY.

let's not forget that we have the "blow your socks off" news tomorrow.....

I was listening (again) to Talk5hite in the car, this evening, and there was a hack journo from The Evening Standard on, who was not at all complimentary about AVB. He described him as "tactically inept" and "silly" for kneeling down at the side of the park and pointing to where players should go. His prediction is that Levy will rue the day he got rid of Redknapp and got in AVB.

Now, I know that I was in agreement with this hack before AVB signed, but now that he's our manager I find myself getting wound up that there are so many hacks and pundits out there happily predicting a dreadful season for us, and AVB to be sacked before the New Year.

Not quite as bad a reaction as you mate! <laugh>, but come and join us lot on the fence, we've put our bows and arrows down for now aswell! :D

I have reservations too, but am more than happy to be converted by results as we go. :)

I think it's safe to say most, if not all of us are scared of another Ramos saga.

if we start to sign loads of "AVB" players that goes straight into the team, in a new look line up; I will be very afraid.

Images of Pav/ Frazier Campbell/ Bentley are slowly coming back.

Would Gylfi satisfy number 6?
The bottom 3 aren't a priority. The deadwood can go on deadline day for all i care. Sherwood can be sorted anytime and we're waiting on pre-season for King.
Sherwood could end up assistant, 2 birds, 1 stone

Like you, HIAG, I'm very sceptical about the wisdom of taking this guy on. But, we've got him now, so let's give him a chance. If the hacks don't like him, he's gone up a couple of notches in my estimation, already.

If I remember correctly AVB was a tactical advisor to the Special One at the chavs when they first won the league. Can't be too bad then!

that Gunner.b.allwrong has his defensive coat on again..bless him..i bet he is suicidal really..i put up a disclaimer saying i wont rip any goon but him..and its looking good.
