Horrible man and manager,I hope he gets sacked asap...

I use to like him when he was at Porto, but he turned out to be an ******...Blaming refs for his team losing, losing the dressing room, not picking his best players, playing like Barca (high defensive line) and he was just an idiot,it's such a shame that he will be working in England again, such a shame I can't stand him anymore and if I see him on TV I'll just turn it off or turn over.

Thank god our manager is not like him.

I pretty much agree with this, though not so much on the hatred side. Just think he's personality-less, and basically an impressionist, cobbling together various modern Euro managers' images into his own. Sideline histrionics, check; skinny ties, check; fitted shirt, check; slightly moody press dimeanour, check. Just can't image him commanding any respect from players. Wish he'd gone elsewhere, as I also need to turn over or off when he comes on screen. Think he is probably superb as a backroom, managerial support member of staff, as Mourinho and others have pointed out. Only Terry Connor had less personality in the Permiership last season, I would say.

If he does well, fine; he certainly needs to do so if he wants to prove his success with Porto wasn't a one-off. Unbeaten league run, cups, and European honours is admittedly impressive, but had he inherited a decent unit anyway, and the Portuguese league is hardly the Premiership? Simply wish he was plying his trade elsewhere.

I want him to do well after putting up with Cole, Terry and Fat Frank.

Lampard, huge.

Seriously though, don't see AVB as that self styled (as a poster put earlier) less than Mourinho I'd say. Maybe the latin managers are just a bit more stylish full stop. I'm sure someone will prove me wrong here!

turned a Chelsea team challenging for the title into a team that finished 5th.
I hope he has similar levels of success at Spurs.

I think the big question is, does this improve our chances of getting 6 points against them or not?

Depends when we play them. It will take time for the players to adapt and bound too be some transfer movement. My guess is it will be xmas before he's put his stamp on them good or bad.
