I think according to the sentinel, TP is monitoring the situation with regard to Matt Jarvis; he is also monitoring the situation regarding Michael Owen - meaning he is waiting to see if anyone else takes them on and waiting until the end of August to see who will be left for us to consider signing. He is certainly not decisive when it comes to signing players IMO

It's always the same in the papers, "Long time admirer", "monitoring the situation". We all know we do most of our business late, but I don't think that means we are inactive, or just monitoring, we try to do everything on the hush and the papers need something to say. How many times have we apparently been on the verge of signing someone, that TP reckons we haven't even spoken to, or the opposite, and had signings totally out of the blue?

Sounds like he's going to Blackburn.

  4. Have just got back in the last day or so. So appreciate I am late on this.

Welcome Tunstall. Enjoy the site. I do!

Murphy NO WAY thanks. His comments nearly 2 years ago will still mean he gets a rough reception at the Brit. As for the players, well a lot of them are still there and would no doubt have a few words to say!

All for now to watch the end of the Italian job!

Welcome to the Stoke board <ok> Nice to see a new Stoke fan with comments/views.

I've not posted for two weeks due to a holiday (minus the laptop) but Eagles? I said end of season I would try and sign him. BUT I don't agree about Whelan, he flatters to decieve and I would hope that Palacios AND Wilson plus another ball player can be found by T.P. Also agree with Smithers, we do need one full back, maybe two and the only problem I have is simple enough.

IS Mr Coates willing to give T.P. enough money to VASTLY improve our starting 11? Do that and will be fine.

Just a footnote for everyone else.. IS JEROME STAYING? I heard from a mate via txt on holiday that he (may be leaving) <yikes> Jones yes he's too lazy for me but Jerome??

I think he wants to leave Potts (and who could blame him), but whether TP lets him go I dont know?

I would be sorry to see Jerome leave but I cannot see him being happy to sit on the bench and maybe get a few minutes here and there. What was the point of TP signing him last year then hardly play him - he baffles me sometimes (TP that is)

Thats the issue PP! Its not like Walters had a quality season and Jerome was a justified back up! More rotation would have seen both players perform better and the result could only have benefited Stoke.

I hope Jerome doesn't go, I'm not sure it's a case of him wanting to leave, rather than wanting to actually PLAY.

I can only HOPE that Jerome stays... IF he leaves I would personally like to "Lynch" T.P. He did well when yep when he did get some game time. His goals to games ratio was brilliant so..............
It just does not make sense that PULIS would even consider letting Jerome go!

It never makes sense with players that seem to have potential. It seems that they dont do something that TP wants them to do - obviously we are at a loss as to what that stipulation is!

    Smither's
Just seen that the Ness transfer is set to be confirmed today? Fine with me but with regards to your'e latest post?
TP must think Jerome does'nt work ard enough? Tony, YOU must be seeing things far, far differently than most of the regular Stoke fans!
I would not give a toss if Jones left nor Whelan although I think? Whelan might be okay IF NESS and PALACIOS play week in, week out?

NOT, Rory, Whitehead and Co... it's all oppinions but I for one must be missing somthing IF as suggested, JEROME leaves? Even the Sentinel (today) thinks it might happen.

I'm sure the Ness chap is a decent player, but very few players come out of SPL and set the Prem alight!

Well, let's hope we see him given a chance Smither's? Surly, Delap, Whitehead, Whelan will now be used as 2nd choice midfielders.
Seem's the Ger's fans thought highly of him, but let's be honest. The SPL apart from 3/4 teams ain't that special.

Jekovic for Everton lit up the EPL! I know Goodwillie did nothing for Blackbunr TBH, but I do not think Ness will get much of a chance.

Personally I would like more rotation if we do not manage to get any additional midfield players, as I thought when Whitehead came on from the bench he did well. He also was my MOM against ArseNIL. NO he is not my favourite as he does not seem to have the confidence to go forward with a pass but who does between him, Whelan and Delap? I am not forgetting that sublime pass he made at Anfield in the cup when Walters should have SCORED without any doubt!

Yeh, Jekovic has done well, but he has only been going for half the season - lets hope he continues next year! There aint many and as Potts suggests, the league in general is probably akin to the top championship clubs!

I think we are crying out for more rotation, to give us the opportunity to out work teams as we struggle to outplay them!
