there is literally no logical reason why we would try and sign him. he's nowhere near good enough for sunderland, a team we finished above last season, he's slagged our club off, and he's probably the most overrated, overhyped young player of the last five years. he'll end up at hull city or somewhere like that...

Never rule out anything in football.

Can you remember the nice things Thierny said about us.

All footballers only do and say what suits there paymasters and fans.

Connor Wickham if looked after could be a really good player

certainly true about a) never ruling anything out; b) tierney and c) footballers words, and i do agree wickham could be a good player eventually, but it isn;t going to be next season - and we need a striker next season who can come straight in and start banging in goals, creating goals. from what i've seen, he's a million miles off being a premier league striker who can cut the mustard - i think he left ipswich two or three years early. he needs to play championship football and progress at that level first. it would be a wasted loan.

I agree with that he left Ipswich too early, think Nick Powell will prove to have made a jump to early, will probably hinder his progress too. Same thing happened to Fabian Delph

certainly happened to delph, and bostock (remember him?)

powell is going to be interesting. i've heard rumours that he will be loaned out but i got the feeling that united were going to throw him straight in next season. he does look a fabulous prospect. very intriguing to see what happens!

Powell looks great player, but I still think young players develop more by getting first team football at a parent club where they are valued and precious. Rather than a loan where they are constantly trying to impress their parent club rather than the club they currently play for. If that makes sense? I think he would be better off with Crewe or even going to a Championship/ League 1 club.

Bostock went to Spurs from Palace if I remember correctly, turned into an ego and had a bad loan spell at Hull? Although he scored a wonder goal.

Delph has been unlucky with injuries too but he could have been future England player, don't really see it in him now
