RANGERS are unwanted by clubs in the lower leagues.

But unless one of the three divisions gives them a home in time for the start of next season the SFL itself faces the prospect of going bust.

And the survival of as many as 20 clubs is feared to be hanging in the balance.

All those SFL clubs have survived decades without Rangers yet Keevins is trying to convince us they'll go bust without having Rangers in their ranks. Unbelievable.

Expect this pro-NewCo propaganda to reach a crescendo in the coming days, probably with Jim Traynor writing that the very future of the Scottish economy is at stake (or succulent steak in Jum's world).

What do you think will happen to Rangers fans money if we can't get a league to play in?

As we know, the Scottish game is hardly awash with capital these days, so if you take out the £30m* or so that Rangers fans contribute to the Scottish game then that means that the game will be £30m down. It doesn't take Stephen Hawkins to figure out that Scottish Football less £30m = major black hole.

And what of the Glasgow's Green and Grey? Do you think that the loss of the higher quality players from Rangers and Scottish football to England and beyond, will improve Scottish football? Do you think losing Steven Naismith, Whittaker and Steve Davis, and replacing them with lesser quality players from Div 1 will help Celtic attract the top prospects from other leagues? "Here Juan, fancy playing for Celtic? You'll win the league by Christmas and you'll get the glamour of the Europa Jug group stages every year. "Old Firm" not anymore Juan.

So, like I always say, be careful what you wished for.

This is happening whether Rangers survive or not so what do you expect the other clubs to do? Pay the likes of Naismith and Whitaker to stay at Ibrox?
 
Jim , get off our board , you can't even admit you support Rangers your that embarrassed by your club . Your opinion is unwanted here , if I've upset you run to mummy to complain , not the mods!!!

The SFL don't need Newco....never have

Who would want to watch a league where you can buy your league position.....Italians?
 
There is a similar piece, though a bit more subtley put, by Michael Grant in the Herald. Basically, according to him, there might be voices out there willing to vote 'yes' and we should al at leastl listen to them rather than just having the 'tribalism' of a 'no' vote.

As per the script, you completely miss the point I was making and the consequences of your desire to see Rangers given the most draconian punishments available.

I read a bit of Walters article somewhere, where he made some valid points about the mess that is Scottish football.

We've had administrations and liquidations previously in Scotland and yet there are no hard and fast rules regarding clubs should they encounter these financial hardships. What a fking joke!

Scottish football is ****e, and it's only going to get worse.

Just like the point you made regarding players leaving Rangers. Your point was not difficult to understand. All you did was state the bleeding obvious.

What are you on about? Where did I even mention punishments? You're becoming paranoid.

I ask again: what do you expect the rest of Scottish football to do about players leaving your club? You cited it and told us to be careful what we wish for. No one wished for your players to leave. It's a reality brought about by Rangers being liquidated. It's of your own club's doing, not anyone elses.

In fact, what has any other club done to Rangers? Give me an example of another club kicking you when you're down.

I read Walter "it wiznae me" Smith's article. Just like every other time, it's everyone else's fault but his and Rangers.

I have to laugh at the medias in-depth knowledge of all of Scotlands football teams finances after their failure to understand Rangers financial plight when it was staring them in the face
