The move is subject to international clearace, which I assume could relate to his contract situation with Rangers.

All SPL players have their registration held by the SFA and require an ITC (international transfer certificate) to move on. The wrangle over TUPE laws in the takeover looks like it could muddy the waters on some of these deals.

First post Thought I should post this after a Dutch friend sent the link. Scroll down for the Dutch version

Vitesse expects Alexander Büttner will be missing from tomorrow's practise. The 23-year-old left back, whose contract runs for another year, will continue his career abroad. Büttner yesterday flew to London to negotiate with Southampton, which last season was promoted to the Premier League. Also Queens Park Rangers, Fulham, and Werder Bremen are interested in the talented defender. Reported by AD Sportwereld.

I don't know about the player's ability but he has played in a good Vitesse side. Had a quick search but couldn't find the rumour anywhere else.

Might be worth noting that Davis can play on the right hand side of midfield. Maybe he's the answer to that troublesome position. (though I doubt it, he probably wouldn't be as effective).

My mate who follows the SPL said that Davis started turning **** when he was put out on the right by Walter Smith, looked good at CM but completely ineffective at RM.

Also Jamie Ness who was one of the players to reject the Newco thing has signed for Stoke, so it seems that they are free to discuss terms and agree to join, whether it actually goes through will depend on the outcome of the law stuff

Maybe we shouldn't play him there then. <laugh>

I wouldn't mind James Forrest from Celtic though..

Still remain fairly confident that Fox and Richardson will line up at the Etihad.

Doubt it. With Fox's crossing I imagine Saints perhaps think we could go with Buttner and Lallana with Fox being on hand to offer cover for both positions?

More likely Lallana moving into a central playmaker position. With him on the wing coming inside and drifting around, we'd get destroyed down the left.

Being backup LB for Holland doesn't say much. Anyone see that poor kid who did get selected who got ripped up? I don't doubt he's capable, but I do doubt he's an Ashley Cole who can run the flank all on his own.

I do wonder if Willems got taken purely because he is from a big club (PSV) ?

Happens over here so why not over there.
