I would suspect that if a move were to happen, there would be direct access to the ground from the by-pass.

There already is, the car park is less than half a mile from the A47, coming from Norwich. If they had a barrel each they still couldn't organise a piss up!
I spent a couple of days at the IoW festival, didn't bother with the first day, just wasn't any point! Always been a great fan of Joan Armatrading.

I agree the bloody traffic is horrendous for two days a year, but that's just it, it is only two days a year. If a new stadium was built there, the access to the site would be re-designed and improved too. That's a no-brainer TBH.
Part of me would hate it if NCFC moved from Carrow Road, but sometimes if you want to progress difficult decisions have to be made. Personally, I have an open mind and have just put it out there for debate. I know there are those that love the RNS, how the hell they can afford to go at £22 per adult is beyond me though. Then when you get in you still have to pay extra for this and that unless you're happy to look at cows and tractors all day !

Adnams and Woodefordes have great stands, Bacon rolls and Angus beef burgers are everywhere, there's some really tasty girls doing their bit on John Lewis's catwalk, all the events in the main ring are free! Then there's the Cows and Tractors, NCFC stand, loads of local crafts and more........I paid £19 for our tickets bought online, not bad for 7/8 hours entertainment, but was pretty pissed off at being charged another £6 to park. As I said the show in itself is fine, it's the getting there and getting in which is a giant ****up!!

most people without live within 1 to 2 miles from the carrow road stadium and can walk to ground or cheap fares to it. if they move to the show ground it will end up costing more for people to get there. firstly the buses stop running about 5-6pm so you can't get bus also show ground is 5 miles from the city center which will cost lots of money for cab fairs as most people live in within 5-10 mins of city center they can't walk 5 miles so they should stay at carrow road so its only 1-2 miles for most of fans living in norwich area. i can say if it does move there it will mean lots of people can't go anymore. they will build up the city stand at carrow road to make 35 something thousand seater thats not far of 40k that your talking about so you don't need to move.

Most of City's home support comes from the county and if a move did happen transport links would be addressed, I don't think your argument holds up TBH. When I lived in the City it would take me a good 30 minutes to walk to the ground, there aren't many people who support City who live 1-2 miles from carrow Road

the reports are that our ground can go up to 39,000 seater which is good enough and will cost less than building a whole new stadium. apparently they can make city stand 12,000 seater that will take it to around 35,000 and the foundations are in place for a second tier on the Jerrold stand so thats good enough. also its already close to the train station so easier for away supporters coming by train to get to ground away supporters are not going to come by train then try and get 6 miles to the ground so that will make less money for club as not so many away fans will come to the ground. plus there are not many things around there. at carrow road you have pubs, restaurants, Morrison.

anyway has anyone heard from holt situation yet supposed to be this week but he is playing golf today

Well Norfolk shows okay, but a bit weird (strange farmer-types convention)

As far as putting a new stadium out of town, no way. Speak to the away fans that come from all over the country, our stadiums location is a complete gem. Loads of pubs, hostpric centre, well developed and historic. The ground has a great feel to it, something that you take out when you get a new stadium, and takes decades to recover.

Thanks, but no thanks on that one, knock the city stand down and build a new side there.

just what i think should happen how long would that take to build up as new season usually only 2 1/2 months before it starts will i be done in time and will pre-season games be all away games so they can get on with building. its alot to think about isn't it.

hope we get some new players in soon and sort out this holt stuff.

Beef, you may have missed my comment, but I don't want them to knock down the city stand, therefore they should respect my wishes and simply build another tier.

i found out this :

'The Club have announced that if they were to stay in the Premier League for the next two consecutive seasons, then they would look at possibly replacing the Geoffrey Watling City Stand, with a new 12,000 seat stand, raising the overall capacity of Carrow Road to 35,000. There is also still the option to add an additional tier to the Jarrold (South) Stand (the foundations are already in place) which would further raise the capacity of the ground to around 39,000'.

that means the city stand has no foundations for second tier only the jarrold has that means they will need to smash down the whole city stand to build it 2 tier.
