Just to kick off the day as there does not appear to be a daily thread up yet. It does seem a reasonably average Thursday which is not surprising the week after Royal Ascot but there is a a very good listed race at Warwick which features a host of horses that have clearly at one time or another got their trainers pulses racing, and so to kick off the day with a best bet i will go for ...... Warwick 3.40 Diala 10-3 This horse was put straight into the 1000 Guineas by William Hagges a trainer not known for taking pot shots, if he has one in a group race he tends to beleive they can go close. There are some others such as Sunday Times who is clearly thought something of and i know that Switcher from the Dascombe yard is thought better than he has shown. But on her performances last year and the vote of confidence from the master trainer that is William Hagges i am going best bet of the day in the best race of the day Diala. Two other horses of note for me today Newcastle 4.00 The Ducking Stool 6-1 Won nicely two runs ago but well beaten into second last time in a muddling ametuer race on very heavy going, the third however was 7 lengths back. I still think this horse is on a winnable mark. Yarmouth 2.50 Excellent Aim 8-1 This horse has the form from last year to go very close in this race at a very reasonable price. It is it's first run so we take readyness on trust but with Spencer booked i take that as i positive with regard to this, worth a second look at a decent price is my view. Good luck all today
Bluesky cheers for gettin a thread up! Spencer booking a positive lol! Cmon Roto lets be having you!!!!
Just a small one for me today- 3.00 Newcastle- Prince Of Sorrento- but it is a close one between him and Memory Cloth (who is on the drift) but have sided with form, but memory cloth could very easily snatch it!
Toppy Michelangelo runs on Saturday in the Tattersalls Millions race. I like him but surely he needs further than 10f ?
I like Switcher in the 3.40. A weak listed race in which she could easily return to form now she has headgear on. She is nicely drawn and they may have just got the right race for her. Nice EW price too.
What a poor day and looks like getting worse... Just spoke to my sister who lives in Leicester and she has told me its bucketing it down...!!! With the last meet at Leicester cancelled due to a waterlogged course it may well affect tonights running...
Now my sister has said the sun's out and its cracking the flags... Gotta love the English Summer Weather...!!!
Sunday times in the next for me! 5/1, small stakes...saving my cash for the 12/5 available for germany -1 hcap tonight!!
