Na mate; I have pride in the fact that we take a good & even a bad wumming & occasionally venture forth & Wum ourselves eh Baz ;)

While they all ban & edit left right and centre it usually takes downright vile abuse for our Mods to push the button.

Take a look at forelock here; he's so moddycoddled on the Spurs board he gets one of his pigtails pulled on here & he's already crying.

Oh and back to topic; there's apparently still a possibility that GS will come to us. Apparently we've made a secondary offer as a take it or leave it, apparently about 15k a week less than Spurs.

If it comes down to the extra pay I'll not criticise the lad any more than I'd expect criticism for (please please please) accepting the offer to do my same job elsewhere for a great big pay rise. It's not like he learned his trade in our academy & owes us anything.

im on it because it is a thread about a player i am aware that Liverpool was going to sign..yet we might sign him...therefore there is a shared intrest.

However when i found such a thread on your board and having read it i saw your hypocrisy...and then i just could not stay quiet.

Here you are telling Swansea fans that they need to accept it because that is how it works in the 'big time' etc etc yet when it seems like we might do to you what you was going to happily do to them, you decided to ignore your own advice and start being abusive and sounding quite bitter towards that team, namely being Spurs.

    i found that quite baffling.

to be disapointed is understandable but then to proceed to abuse that club and then also decide that the player has become from being a 'great prospect' to a 'lemon' within a few minutes...once again comes across as bitter.

that is why i commented and it might be 'your' board but i am free to comment on it...none of what i have said is wummery....<ok>

Fairly sure there wasn't much abuse to begin with;; yet again it was more questions which I will repeat once again.

Why would he want to go to a club that for all intent & purposes is in the same boat as us?That is not abuse of your club. It's a question.

This was then followed by proposals that the player might be mercenary. Some said a little bitterly but then I've not agreed with that stance.

Some even said it might be because we have a ****e recruitment style that's too slow( that might be abuse but it's out club we'll abuse if we want)

The Spurs/personal "abuse" (really?? Abuse?)came when spurs & Swansea posters tried the "It's coz spurs are a bigger club & you are has Beens" wums

Some people attacked this premise(facts & figures quoted)

I generally just attack the wummer; it saves time from a cyclical argument that has no end because one sides intent was to aggravate not debate.

Then you lord in with your moral outrage which was badly directed at best or suspiciously fake at worst.

So in away, Baz is right, the topic was derailed yet again by non LFC wums. The fact you've tried to be their knight in shining armour just makes you look silly. But carry on Sir!:D

Just in case you are indeed a small girl Spurlock my lawyer has asked that I clarify that the offered puppy is in no way an indication that I intend or want to groom you for possible sexual engagements of any discription.

It was merely a token of affection and to see that beautiful smile...:D

talking bollox Frank...your 'night in shining armour' jab is a means to undermine me...so i wont bother explaining myself...it seems as though you boys are seasoned pros at playing the victims and questioning everyone elses intent.

no wonder it is hard for a few of you to accept a simple truth when it brings your own behaviour into question..accept it someone just pointed out that a few of you are behaving like hypocrites so much that you just contradict yourselves in this instance.

nice try though trying to belittle the argument by saying that i am playing the morale high ground etc....its become your forte i think...to behave victimised...so much so that i think im going now and having a little chuckle about it..<ok>

WTF .... you mean he's not joining us at Swansea? Still, at least BR still has Caulker and Scott Sinclair to poach from his extensive portfolio (assuming Scott doesn't decide to extend his 1 yr remaining contract after no doubt being 'tapped' by Buck again). I give BR credit for not coming in for any 'contracted' Swansea player unless they are made available.....watch this space...

LOL... Aint football loyalty ****e nowadays .... we, as fans, should have learned by now!

Me? Talk bollocks: all the time mate.

And the old "you love playing the victim " line displays your Wummery, very old & dated Wummery at that.

Try harder or I take back the puppy.

Hell lads this Ice boy has a lot to answer for, I think we are well rid of the kid here at little old Swansea, we have a knack of finding good players, so all the best to whoever gets the boy, think you'll find he'll not be as good, as he was playing for us, wherever he goes! Bet Brenda is none too happy though!...................... <laugh>

What a silly little person you really are. However, you merely confirm the opnion of most of the posters on this board regarding supporters from your board.

This whole thread has been about a discussion between ourselves as to the chances of the player joining us and if he was the player that we really needed. As you will see the responses ranged from totally delighted at the prospect to undecided - as you would expect. It is only when people from other boards arrive making wuming comments that an aggressive response was engendered.

So let's look at the FACTS. LFC have made no public statement that they have entered a bid for the player or entered into any negotiations. The only statement was from Rodgers who advised the player to talk in the first instance to Swansea and that if those talks failed, we may be interested. After that all else is really media speculation or unsubstantiated comments from his present club, his agent and the player himself. If he joins us then welcome. If he joins you then OK, we may not understand the reasons but there you go it's not the end of the world. That's the facts for you.

If you wish to persue another agenda then that is your problem. If you come here an upset people then expect the response to be unfriendly.

Ah wouldn't worry Dave; he's off boasting about his mighty battles on the Spurs board.

And in case anyone indeed had any doubts to his views of good hearted debate with Liverpool fans here's a little statement he made on his "sarcasm" thread directly after an appalling one from one of his cockney comrades.

    Humanbeingincroydon:
South Yorkshire police received government orders to kill Liverpool fans...

    Spurlock:
im sick of everyone victimising the Liverpool fans.

Now this was all done hours ago not in response to the "abuse" he received here. He's just a sad wee girl of a Wum.

You'd be better off blowing your hot air on the Spuds board on this subject from now on Phil seeing as it looks like hes signing for them.

But they wont give you the leeway you've had on here, they're a truly nasty bunch.

Mabon is, of course, absolutely right.

Read some **** newspaper article making the argument that a major factor behind Liverpool's interest in Rodgers was his eye for a bargain.
They printed a league table adjusted to reward value for money based on transfer fees and wages. Swansea came top, the 2nd place team had half the points. Liverpool faired badly.

What the article failed to mention was that Rodgers was not responsible for 90 odd % of those bargains.
    Rangel - 20k - Martinez
    Ash Williams - 400k? Maybe 200 k - Martinez
Taylor - 50-100k tribunal - Huw Jenkins (we were manager less at the time)
    Britton - 40k - Brian Flynn
Allen - our own product, but I believe Flynn was responsible for identifying his talent and encouraging it...Martinez brought him into the first XI
    Dyer - 400k - Martinez

Rodgers' signings in comparison; (just last season)
Sinclair - up front 500k, rose to 1.5m - coached him in the youth set up at Chelsea
Lita - 2m - coached him at Reading, biggest waste of money in our history
    Routledge - 1.5m - A lot of money for a substitute who's only ever scored 1 goal
    R. Donnelly - Was it 200k in the end? - we'll see but hasn't lit up the reserves
    Situ - reserves
    Obeng - 200k - reserves

    Successful signings;
Graham - 3.5m - record signing, he coached him at Watford
    Vorm - 1.5m - absolute bargain
    Caulker - loan, high wages
Siggurdsson - loan, coached him at Reading, high wages

He is also often credited with the style of play.
Our chairman and board deserves most of the credit for deciding that we wanted to play a certain way and going with the untested Martinez.
Every subsequent appointee has had to stick to those same principles. Rodgers was only brought in because he agreed to continue what we were doing, same as Laudrup.

That's not to say he doesn't deserve credit, of course he does. Prior to him we finished 8th, then 7th. Under him we finished 3rd and went up.
I just want to point out that what he brought to us was his contacts and his motivational skills...Liverpool don't need contacts at Chelsea, Reading and Watford to help you....and so far he's tried to sign 2 former players and fell flat on his face. Worried? He's actually going to have to earn his money now and coach your players to play a new style of football....and he feels he needs Colin Pascoe <doh> ....I hope he can motivate your boys because saying the right things in front of the T.V. cameras won't be enough to cut it will it?
