His display against Spain certainly proves he can cut it at the very top (even if we didn't know that already). I think with Spurs missing out on the C.L again, it has to be time for him to move on. Madrid, United etc would be a significant step up and I'm sure he'd fit in well.

Bale is a few years younger so can afford to wait a couple of years.

So it was....I'd completely forgotten about that. Mind you, the teams we played weren't up to much and didn't play as well as they should have, and we were lucky, and we didn't deserve it.

Probably waxing lyrical about doing things "the Tottenham way"...ie by achieving **** all but somehow still being the best club in the world.
 
I know. What the hell is going on? They must be camped outside every London airport desperately trying not to let AVB in <laugh>
