Levy deals with the transfer's at Spurs so we don't need a Manager to sign Players,Bild is one newspaper that usually calls transfers right
Ben Smith from the BBC (reliable) says that Hoffenheim had a rep visit England yesterday and he's certain that the rep didn't go to Liverpool. Prior to this, Ben was certain that Gylfi would sign for LFC but even he's having doubts now.
If he joins Tottenham then **** him. Let him waste away on their bench (unless Modric or Van Der Vaart leave) If he joins us, fantastic. We only want players that want to play for the Liverbird
The original story was in German paper Bild, however they only reported that Hoffenheim accepted a bid from Spurs - no mention of personal terms agreed or anything.
If BR does want him why the hell are we so slow in acting? If true this is a ****ing joke...never wanted him anyway
I do wonder if this is just agent blather to force LFC to act a bit quicker but if we do miss out on this kid serious questions will have to be asked about our inability to sign players. What exactly is going on at Anfield at the moment?
Why would spurs spend £8m on a position that they already have more than adequate cover for? Also, anyone seen his wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gylfi_Sigurðsson Someone's getting ahead of themselves me thinks.
Why the wailing and gnashing of teeth? Sigurdsson was not the standout player of last season. There are many more potential targets out there. If Rodgers was desperate for him then he would not have told him to talk to Swansea first!
ahhh.. so someone edited a wiki page to read spurs and its fact... lets just wait and see cos frankly i don't care one way or the other.
That was just for show and we all know it Dave. If there is one player I guarantee you BR would love at Anfield its this lad. He was a stand out player for me last year (remember he only signed on loan in Jan) and at 22 and the sorts of prices quoted he IS an absolute bargain...whoever gets him. Maybe he would need a few months to bed in but this lad will walk into the first team at Anfield or WHL
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ THIS Jesus people, we are all kneejerking at **** the Mail prints now are we? Even if this is true, saying Spurs have no manager? Possibly they have someone who is an International manager on duty at the Euros, and will not be announcing it until his team is out, so maybe Levi has been able to tell the lad that he will be first choice under a big named manager, while at Liverpool, he will have to compete with Gerrard, Aqualani, Henderson, Adam and Spearing. But lets just see how it plays out before we all start burning the Icelandic flag on St. George's Plateau...
Modric is clearly going to leave so i assume he's Modric's replacement in that case. There is also a feeling VDV may be going. Either way there's been absolutely no news really so don't understand why people get their panties in a twist. That Ben Smith has been slammed by another journo for simply repeating other people's news as his own. Sigurdsson's dad apparently told a radio station this morning nothing has been decided. There's no way if Rodgers wants him we cannot match what Spurs offer him in wages, we do however have a major advantage in knowing exactly what he's worth as Rodgers has managed him before. I'd only be worried if we did go all out and didn't get him but then i can't see that happening. We're in the same competition as Spurs who are shifting important player(s) and have just gotten rid of their manager, whereas we have what some people have basically said is a father figure to him. That's not a slur on Spurs either its just how i see it, and it'd be the same the other way around.
