One thing that has always confused me since I started watching football, is fans' propensity to rally around their own. That sounds laudable in theory but I just don't get it. It drives me crazy when I hear our fans ranting and raving about other Clubs and their player's wrongs. I couldn't give a sh*t about that c*nt John Terry or that greasy little eejit Tevez. To me they might as well be in another World. If they pulled their pants down and pissed all over the door of 10 Downing Street, I wouldn't bat an eyelid.

The only people I've any interest in are those involved with QPR FC. I want to berate, bash, curse, slag and attack our own players morning, noon and night. I feel its my right as a fan. I actually feel its our duty as fans, in order to extract the best possible behaviour and performances from them for the betterment of our own Club. To hell with everyone else. Its the Club, the Club and the Club. First and foremost. The highest standards imaginable are what we should expect from everyone connected to the Club. These guys are being paid fortunes and have the honour of representing us. They should give it 100% in everything they do and also conduct themselves impeccably.

That's what it all boils down to in the end. I don't have an awful lot of respect for the modern pro footballer. Most guys on here do and that's why they get incensed when I attack our players. But attack them we must. Over and over and over and forget about everyone else's players.

Very strange

Isn't it wonderful that there is only one Swords?...<laugh>

The problem with your argument is that despite the best efforts of the modern footballer to offend your delicate sensibilities, you keep coming back for more. If we all took the moral high ground at every peccadillo they exhibit the grounds would be empty, but the reality is if that we accept their flawed personalities as long as they do the business on the pitch. If Ferdinand scores the winner v Swansea will you still be calling him every **** under the sun?...

Have you ever considered psychiatric treatment?...

I assume from the threat by Terry's barrister, that Anton was the only one who heard the b...k c..t comment, and therefore they will be calling him a liar.

My recollection, although I may be wrong, was that other QPR players heard it and may be called as witnesses, which would surely make a bad character allegation pointless

Its on TV and he already admitted using those words.

"Have you ever considered psychiatric treatment?" <laugh>

I was just making a long-distance diagnosis, you seem to be a prime candidate for Bi-Polar as well as ODD (no pun) (It's Oppositional Defiant Disorder} and probably ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) with a touch of Paranoia thrown in as well. Personally, I think you would be a psychiatrist's wet dream...

Then the only reason I can think that Terry's brief will try to damn Anton on character is to argue provocation. In other words, "look at the kind of stuff this QPR defender has done in the past. He deliberately provoked my client into making this spontaneous name call." If it's not that, I'm stumped, because to have a go at Anton in the witness box is to add injury to insult

That would be fair to assess them based on wages if it was a meritocracy but the simple fact is they're overpaid but happy to be so (wouldn't we all) but ultimately the vast majority aren't that bright and are ultimately flawed like the rest of us.

That is part of the game. It would be up to Terry to prove that happened and that would be very difficult.
Its just a desperate ploy to put pressure on him and try to get the case called off.

The only reason for AF to go to the box is to say no conversation took place.

I think the CPS will want to put Anton in the box to explain the circumstances surrounding John Terry's name calling. Terry's barrister will cross-examine him and may suggest provocation as a result of any past controversial incidents he (Anton) was involved in

He would also throw accusations of the mental state of other people which is classic compensation behaviour.

I do seriously think he has a mental problem so you arent alone in that though.

Harsh but nothing a good wack over the head with DSM-IV-TR couldn't sort out.
