"Winger Gareth Bale, 22, has handed Tottenham a massive boost by deciding to stay at White Hart Lane for at least one more year."

Get right in there, my son!

Never expected him to leave this summer. Only wums ever thought we'd lose him but their mental stability has always been in question.

Wouldn't mind some more confirmation as its only the Mirror and the Fail atm. A piece of more than well overdue postive news for a change though. :)

I haven't heard much player reaction since Harrys departure at all YV, so I am little concerned having previously felt same as you, that he'd stay. Not surprising as they're all over the place on holiday or at the Euro's, not the best time to ask JD about it either, so it has been quiet. If there has been I've missed it. :)

Defoe's probably not stopped smiling. 'Arry might have signed Defoe 20 times but there was no chance of him getting regular football with us next season with him in charge.

Thing is, with Redknapp no longer around to shoot off his gob, the silence is deafening. What you've got to bear in mind, notso, is that this is what it used to be like before the Redknapp days <laugh>

Yeah, it's a shame that we don't see more players like Hoddle and Ledders, who actually love(d) Spurs, and play for the shirt as well as the wages.

Interesting how ready we are to believe good news, but when we read he is off we just dismiss.

good news and well played Bale..however all these little headline articles in one day HIAG...you remind me of Math-21 the United fan <laugh>

if you know who he is im sure youll agree lol.

I dismiss both, unless there's some obvious substance behind a story.
If Bale had said that he was happy and going nowhere in an interview, then I'd believe it.
This is just speculation, as far as I can see.

Do you lot actually believe these "snippets" as what is stopping a paper spreading lies about transfer gossip? i don't think there are any laws that stop media outlets writing whatever transfer gossip they want as otherwise there would have been a case agaisnt one of the papers.
