Because ireland is not in britain! Just because some people want to claim British citizenship-which they can- the fact ireland is not in Britain won't change

So then those who consider themselves Scandinavian are not because they are either from 1 country or the other?

I'm sure there would be a large portion of geographers would disagree with that.

I don't hold it against Shetlanders claiming to be Scandinavian and not Scottish, really the only problem here is the history of Northern Ireland which has absolutely no bearing on geographical locations.

Britain is Britain. It's not Ireland. Scandanavia is Scandanavia. If Britain included Ireland then why haven't they always been britain. Same as Ireland's not in Scandanavia. They are separate places. It's not hard to understand.

But Ireland is part of the British Isles and that's what I said in my original point, Scandinavia is a cluster of countries and so is the British Isles.

    Give up.

Says who? Which is my point. If the good people of Yorkshire voted to be Scottish would the be Scots or English?

The British isles that you refer to is the islands of Britain & ireland. So Ireland, neither part nor all of it is in Britain. Which is what the discussion is about. So your point, much like you is pointless

We'll not to be a picky **** but you lot consider Rebel and other British born people Irish so your argument holds no water.

    Hypocrisy at its best.

As I thought your drivel is based on your bias against Northern Ireland.

Another typical Irishman I see, personally I think all of Ireland would be better wiped off the map <applause>

I'm away to get pished, thanks for proving my point <cheers>

As I have told you dozens of times I am from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

People born in this United Kingdom are British.
