Well you claim to be british, yet you were born in Ireland which is not in Britain? So are you saying rebel can't be republican because he is born in England are you finally admitting you aren't british?

You can claim British citizenship. But then you can claim that if you've lived in England for 5 years. We have an au pair, she's Spanish. Can now claim citizenship and be considered British. Everyone (including her) knows she s Spanish though. So being born in ni means you can claim citizenship of britain (can also claim Irish citizenship, or both) but doesn't mean you are from Britain. It's just what goes on a passport
