Bristol the great city
i see we have now taken another jock on the physio side of things.

I have no problems with Scottish people at all,but do any other fans think we have become very Scottish focused as a club.

We have had some brilliant Scots over the years, but we don't seem to be able to pull English,Welsh,or Irish players.

It seems Del is one dimensional at the moment.

Is this good or bad <confused><confused>

Don't think it matters to be honest - DM taking people he knows - maybe good for team spirit?

Not so much one dimensional.. A lot of the backroom staff aren't up to his standard so he's replacing them with people who are. Don't see how anyone can have a problem with an international standard physio being brought on board?

Jocks, Jody Morris and now we've sorted the Catering facilities.

I can't stand this excitement.

If we had a Spanish manager, who would complain if he got all Spanish back room staff?

Del is employing people he trust, that's all if we get better who's complaining

As long as dont go the way borough went when they went scottish we will be ok.

When Gordon bought half of the celtic team the bookies made them favourite to win the league but it showed what a gap there is between english and scottish football.

I am hoping we get lumbered with deadwood but guess we will have to give them a chance and see how DMs plan plays out and judge him at the end of the season

I am lucky enough to have been around when we had,Tom Ritchie,Gerry Gow,Donnie Gillis,Peter Cormack,Joe Jordan and more recently Paul Hartley,Scotty Murray,Jamie McAllister, even Louis Carey has Jock connections,I am sure people will remember others, they were all fine for me,I'm looking forward to our new season much more than recent times..

Pre match meal next season will be either porridge made with water and salt or a big slice of Dundee cake. Or a special treat for cup ties; Haggis!
Either menu will create total inertia for at least 45 minutes so as city haven't joined in a first half of any match in the last 5 years, no-one will notice any difference.

As for Scots who have been at City as mentioned by Wizered in #10, how about adding Gordon Low (60's) and Sammy Gilligan from the FA Cup Final team of 1909.
I don't care about the nationality of any players, managers, coaching staff or physios who represent Bristol City so long as they give 100% all the time.

i hope we don't do a Boro where it all went badly wrong under Gordon Strachen.

no worries about McDelboy
as Wizered has said, our golden age featured a fine collection of Scots, although those were the days when Scotland delivered a higher standard of Jock

As far as signing players goes, it does make sense to go with those areas where McDel has the greatest influence.
I doubt many top Spaniards would make tracks for AG this early in Del's career

However, regarding the kids, I have different views as we know

We need to remember that McInnes is also quite a young manager, so his managerial experience starts and ends in Scotland. Most of our permanent signings, backroom or otherwise have been Scottish and the rest will probably be Scottish too.

We can have too many.there is talent in the west country. city are the wests bioggest club and that is where the clubs effort should be focussed and should have been instead of buying crap players on large wages including some from scotland.
