As suggested by my profile name, the first goal I ever saw scored for Tottenham was by a Mr. Colin Calderwood. And yep, you got it, it was a diving header!

So, who was the first player you saw score for Tottenham at the Lane, or elsewhere? And was it as obscure as the Scottish defender himself?

P.S For those interested, it was against Derby County at WHL, in the 1997/8 season. Oh, the Glory Days...

I was more into my snooker as a youngster so the first goal i remember wasn't til i was 10 and it was quite a famous one. It was Gazza's freekick in the '91 final. I was asleep on the sofa and was woken by my dad screaming and stamping his feet.
That was on tv of course. I wasn't asleep at wembley

mine was in the 94-95 season when spurs beat Norwich at home 1-0.

I was 9 years old at the time.

The scorer was Sheringham. But I didn't actually see the goal as I was so short, that when the bloke on the seat in front of me stood up in excitement that we were going to score, he was in the way of my view.

****er.

Listen! I often can't remember why I have walked upstairs never mind who scored the first goal for Spurs that I saw. <yikes>

December 1964. Spurs 3 Sheffield Wednesday 2. Jimmy Greaves.

Oh Jimmy! My Granddad is a Chelsea fan in his nineties now. In the late 50's he used to take my Dad (a mere youngster) to the Bridge to watch Chelsea play. Anyway, that young boy became such a big admirer of Greaves that when he joined Spurs, after his brief stint in Italy, he made up his own mind and started following the lilywhites instead.

Around 50 years later, here I am, a Spurs fan! I've never really wondered what it would be like had my Dad decided to follow Chelsea, although I suppose one thing's for sure - I might have seen a greater amount of silverware, but life would be a hell of a lot more boring !!!

It would be Mike England v Man City in 1968. My mum told me that I wouldn't wash for a week afterwards because it was 'white hart lane dirt'.

Spurf, I have a cure for the upstairs issue, get yourself a bungalow.

Mike England was a good centre-half and is one of my favourite ever players.
