You got the vid and song when the Cardiff lads took the Northbank in the 80`s Aber .....me ol fella was there leading the line with Ginger Frankie and Stabber from Grangetown .Think they ran them out the ground ...not bad for about 40 lads from Cardiff against 2000 odd of thier lads . no probs JH Something way at the back of my memory bank can remember The Grids, mainly because they were a Welsh Punk band (when punk actually meant something) but other than that... nothing!
Aber The drummer on all those Gerry Rafferty albums was a gentleman by the name of Henry Spinnetti , younger brother of victor spinnetti
Grids- Holywell punk band from the late 70s & early 1980′s feat Andrew âTunkieâ Tunnicliffe (gtr) (later of Vicious Circle, Mercenary Skank), Gaz âTopâ Jones (bass) (then known as Gary Gutter) (ex Units), Paul âDoggyâ Evans (voc), Dave âMoggyâ Williams (voc), Ian âStenâ Stenhouse (r.gtr), Timmy âBeanâ Davies (drms). Rel New Anthems EP end of 1980. Had close links with Seventeen. The band can also claim a fan in the Dead Kennedysâ vocalist Jello Biafra who can be seen on the cover of a DK video sporting a Grids badge given to him by the band in 1982. Supported Glen Matlcockâs Sceptres at Rhyl Town Hall and Cockney Rejects at Colwyn Bay Pier where Doggy nearly had a fight with Stinky Turner. On splitting they became 2 bands Grids 2 & Interceptors........
