Roger - The daughters probably fell out - Seemed to be he only reason he had that guy involved in the first place was because 2 7 year-old were school friends! Given he made a fuss about wanting to quit to see his family I presume Bas will still want to sell the club. Just that it will take longer thus decreasing our chances of getting palyers in and probably unsettled Dyche and other staff members who clearly don't trust Bas. Had a feel once this all came public that it would end badly...they were interested in taking over for months according to the WO which suggests Bas wasn't in a hurry to sell to them.
I apologise Yorkie, but it has to be done. I was warming to Baz with his slow and steady progress; but, with this idiocy, he has gone too far.
What an arse!!! Time for the horses head or given his affections for his family kidnap his daughters favourite teddy bear... The guy is a total plank, I've always given him the benefit of the doubt and supported him when I believed he was the only option we had. At this point its time for the bondholders to take control completely and bankrupt the idiot again. Egg the bar stewards car and his shiny suit...
As has been said before he flip flops seemingly forgetting what he said last time he opened his mouth. Last Sunday 17th June at 19.52 the WO reported that he had told them he wasn't selling. At 21.48 same day he said he was selling. Monday 18th He had agreed to sell to Pozzo Tuesday 19th Pozzo says that his statement is premature. Thursday 21st 13.08 Deal done just waiting for them to prove that they have some money. Friday 22nd 16.12 Deal off, they don't have the money. Is he under such pressure to get some money that he is going round like a headless chicken? (Sorry Good Egg) I suspect that one way or another the thing will come back on, but there is no way whatsoever that he can stay any longer.
I totally agree!!! His comments are those of an ignorant spoilt brat. Incredibly naive, incredibly premature and immature, a complete embarassment one can only hope that the boys can sort him OUT.....
Well he seems to be the only one in charge now which is worrying as he has no money and no support at the club..so administration?
Hopefully another u-turn will come about if Bassini notices the pressure from fans and chances of us now going into administration..
I cannot believe what is going on! Physiclly feeling sick at learning this news!!!!!! Bassini Piss off out of Watford FC. You are killing the club.........BASSINi you BAFFON!!! Talk about Egg on all our faces........You GIT BASSINI
Can the bondholders not force his hand?? Mind you with administration could the Pozzos still not buy us... for less.... and Humpty Dumptys wheelings and dealings would come under public scrutiny..... mmm.... perhaps still another twist in this one
hes not running the club, just the holding company and if hes broken terms the club will revert straight back to the bondholders, remember fransen has serious money still in the game..
Strange nothing on the club website just the wobby. Its not a windup by someone with a wideboy accent is it? If its true he's yet again used the wrong communication channel, I despair!!!!!
Am I right in thinking that one of the conditions associated with the bonds was he could not remove Timperley? If that is right then he clearly can have it taken off him, and good riddance.
Darn, I was looking forward to this as well. Article about lack of money on bbc now as well http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18558984
"Sources had claimed the Watford owner was being pressurised into leaving the Hertfordshire club by their bondholders." "According to the Hornets owner, he lodged £5m with lawyers so the club could pay its bills but he wanted a debenture to ensure he would not lose the money should he be forced out." The two quotes above come from the WO. Both of them relate to the role that the bondholders have, and the second one suggests that Baz has become aware that he could be removed. Is it just possible that the bondholders have instigated the takeover negotiations, but have given Baz the opportunity to save face by appearing to be in charge? If that is the case he has messed up in spectacular fashion. He keeps saying that he owns the club and will do what he wants, but underneath he must know that until the final payment is made he does not have free reign. If my little red wine scenario is possible, will it now get nasty, the club being actually removed from his control for good?
"If my little red wine scenario is possible, will it now get nasty, the club being actually removed from his control for good?" Let's hope so OFH we just have to get rid ASAP!!!
This, I think, still has a long way to go. We have only heard that Baz has told the Wobby that the deal is off. Given his past utterances that could mean anything. He is clearly way out of his depth but, unfortunately I doubt if Frank Smith is right that Baz is being 'pressurised' (don't really want to think about that). He is probably being pressured.
