Clarkson - yes please. Massey - not bothered, sounds like a less prolific Elliot Richard Thompson - yes please Arnason - yes please very much indeed thank you sir. No chance of happening - he's a regular Icelandic international who turned down a new deal with Aberdeen for a better deal elsewhere. He's 29 - ideal age for a defender, so I would be amazed (but delighted) if he dropped down to L2.
Clarkson will do well for you, not the fastest player by a long shot, but more than makes up for it with quick football brain. If used as a attacking midfielder can play faster players in well.
Well, Oxford have rejected our 2nd bid for Constable and that deal is now dead in the water. Dtto for Arnason who has gone to the Millers - great signing for them. Higgs claims that we're looking at getting 4-6 new faces in before the start of the season: http://www.thisisbristol.co.uk/Bris...es-Constable/story-16311628-detail/story.html
12 Jun 2012 12:37:42 Bristol Rovers will in the next 48 hours complete the signing of former Queens Park Rangers striker Rowan Vine on a 3 year deal. Vine who spent much of last season in the reserves managed 1 goal from 9 appearances at Gillingham towards the end of the season. The League Two outfit can regard this somewhat an exciting signing.
Not much to talk about at the moment to be honest. Gone a little quiet on the transfer front, stadium front, team news front etc and the **** have nothing happening to take the piss out of so its dead at the moment
Yes, to be fair it's only me, Chris, Saph and 49er who are posting which means that it's difficult to have a 'conversation' at the moment. I can't see much happening on the transfer front for a few more weeks, we won't hear anything about the stadium for a few months and the **** aren't doing much to berate them about. Mind you, Jody Morris
At least we've retained Danny Woodard's services for the coming season... http://www.thisisbristol.co.uk/Defe...stay-Bristol/story-16354380-detail/story.html And MM is back from his hols soon, so we should start seeing some more arrivals.
This I believe is crazy..... 13 Jun 2012 22:08:51 Bristol Rovers will announce the signing of striker David Healy by the start of next week. He's set to become one of the highest paid players in the club's history. Most of the money is coming from the imminent sale of Mustapha Carayol, who will leave the club next week to join Leeds Unite
Have you been on meth's again? Why would you want a conversation with Chris? I had you down as a sensible well educated man! I know you have one brain cell damaged to support the blue few, but conversation and Chris are not normally two words used in the same sentence. Anyway welcome back pissy Chrissy, did you have a good week away
I did thanks, probably a couple more weeks away until Im back to kick your arse on a full time basis though ROD
God I'm bored. We haven't signed anyone and it's just 6 or 7 weeks before the start of the season. I hope we get some news soon.....
My guess is McG is looking closely at the Euros ready to jump in with an offer to a few half tidy internationals. and to think I haven't even had a sniff of alcohol.
I must have had a flashback. Alas my days of popping illegal substances ended a long time ago, last seen in a field in Oxfordshire sometime in the early 90's.
There's some crazy rumours out there at present regarding the gas.......... 'Bristol Rovers have invited Bas Savage to train with them during pre season to see if he is worth a contract. Also Rovers have expressed and interest in Enoch Showunmi after giving up on their pursuit of James Constable.' 'A strong and very reliable source has informed me that Jon Ashton (Stevenage) is expected to complete a £85,000 deal to Bristol Rovers within 5 days. The Gas are also confident of sealing the signature of Izale Mcleod, formally of Barnet, within 48 hours. Mark McGhee is also expecting the youthful duo Cian Bolger and Tom Parkes to sign in time for pre-season, the signing of Matthew Lund is not expected to go through as the player believes he is good enough for Championship football. Rovers are also in talks with Nathan Ellington, the former rovers player is hesitating over wages but he has always said he will play for rovers again as they started off his football league career. The depature of Mustapha Carayol, however, is immenent, with Rovers agreeing a £325,000 fee for the flying winger with Championship club Middlesbrough.' 'Bristol Rovers to sign James Beattie in next 48 hrs and also are tracking Leicester duo Cian Bolger and Tom Parkes along with former Crewe defender David Artell.' Cheers Mendeleev
Mendeleev, ignore those mate. I know the official forum were making up rumours to see if national newspapers would be stupid enough to publish them...bloody kids eh
Two players tipped for a move to us have gone elsewhere: -Michael Poke to Torquay -Jamie McAllister to Yeovil
