there should be a dumbass app for twitter, it will wait 10 minutes before sending your message giving the sender time to actually think about what they are doing (maybe could be useful for one or two on here too ):emoticon-0116-evilg

Taken from 'ant' on SaintsWeb:

"Now I have never been and will never be 'ITK', but a mate from Birmingham today asked me whether we were in for a Blues 'keeper. When I said that there had been reports of interest in Butland he replied in the affirmative with the comment, "I know his mum and that's what she was saying".

Only a tiny snippet so yes, I know there's little substance. Just thought I'd share as it seems a bit of a strange thing for her to come out with if we haven't made an approach. Not really like we're a big enough step up from Birmingham for it to be worth a fabricated brag."

Ant is on Twitter and certainly doesn't seem the type to make something up like this as he doesn't usually get involved with transfer rumours. Anyway, it's nothing substantial - but backs up reports of contact IF TRUE.

Just remember that Butland is still in a hotel in Poland and probably doesn't care about what is happening back home. Not saying it's not true but it's gonna be a slow burner, so don't start getting excited yet...

Oh certainly. If England do go out* on Sunday though, would it be unreasonable to think that Butland is one of the players Nigel wanted in by Thursday? Is that realistic?

*I'm not wishing England to go out.

Not transfer related but someone on SaintsWeb has written a letter to Dvid Cameron demanding answers as to why he takes everything out on Jimmy Carr for using what is a legal tax avoiding route; yet he hasn't done anything apart from back Pompey who owe millions!!

As soon as I can find the original post and/or letter I will post it in a new thread (maybe).

Interestingly his Dad, Ian Cameron built most of his empire doing exactly that. He was worth £10m before his death thanks to the money he piled away and paid sod all tax if any on. Although he didn't do it himself, I find it hard to believe he got where he is in life with no help from those funds. Also, Gary Barlow wasn't criticised and Cameron refused to talk about him. He just got an OBE for christ sake! (please make this a new thread)

In fairness though Robert Green has just moved to Qpr and he's with the England team as well.

Presumably it would. Of course there are agents and clubs so I am not saying that no action can occur and as above Rob Green has just moved. But presumably he would have to come down to the training ground and so on, so all this stuff takes a bit of time and there's no major pressure at the moment.

I can think of one Englishman who wouldn't mind if England went out and that's Howard Webb. He is absolutely top dog at the moment.

David Cameron is a ****, never liked the prick but then again how Many politicians are good, defiantly not any Tory ones.

While I agree with about half of what you're saying, I doubt any of it is founded on any sort of political knowledge. You're just jumping on the anti-Tory bandwagon with no reason other than that it's the cool thing to do.

Clearly, based on the sweeping statement of "defiantly [sic] not any Tory ones" as if no conservative ever has been a good politician.

Waits for hoadie's "they make the rig richer and the poor, poorer" remark
