Probably nothing in this but De Ridder has just tweeted something with throws a bit of doubt on his future:

“@MattKing919: @stief87 still got your quality pace for next season against the likes of Ashley Cole?” we'll see

He could just be referring to his lack of first-team action but thought I'd post it here for you guys to run the rule over...

I think Matt Jarvis would be great in our team, just the type of player to help us progress. Hope there is some legs to this story. Mind you, Daily Star!

this may explain the choice of wolves for preseason friendly; perhaps a deal was set between the clubs on a fee and left to Jarvis to decide.

Who on here was in the know and said Jarvis didn't fancy Saints?

Doubt it. What are the financial benefits to Wolves of:

A) Playing a newly-promoted side
B) Playing away from home
C) Playing the game sandwiched between Ajax and Udinese

?

A - they'd be playing the best from the league they are heading to; gives them a good benchmark (we've just left it)

B - we have offered a fee

C - why would they care it's between those games and perhaps it was all they had free.

Moi :). What I knew was correct at the time, a month or so ago. But as we know, minds can change when offers are put on the table. I personally hope minds have changed.

You sounded confident and plausible then; is your source no longer available to clarify current feelings towards Saints of Jarvis?

This may sound stupid but Seedorf is leaving AC Milan and he has had plenty of offers. He has also said he does not move anywhere for money reasons. He wants a project that will stimulate him. I may be putting 1 and 1 together and making 10,000 (most likely explanation) but after what someone said about lots of activity at the ground and Seedorf's close to making a decision.... No, he can't be, surely!

In answer to your question though, i could ask my 'source' again but i feel a bit intrusive keeping asking. I guess we will all find out in the next couple of weeks. I can tell you that 4-5 weeks ago he was not inclined to join saints but as with any job offer, minds can change.

And i hope they do because him and lallana on the wings would be pretty awsome for us i think.

Ha ha... me thinks you or your folks live next door to his parents/sister/brother/cat/dog/budgie
