With honest respect I must ask you whether you are helping the situation by introducing this 'movement' to people on here, who otherwise would not have noticed it? Maybe you should consider the possibilities that could result from people reading this thread, as opposed to your motive - which I believe to be in the best interest.

Is there a delete or an edit option? Maybe you think that everyone on here will also be against group or do you think you may be promoting it to others and helping with the snowball effect?

You may have gathered that I am also pro-unity and believe that were should stand behind our club and players.

my views? the minority will once again try to hurt the club, but once we start winning in it and get the premier, no one will care as much.

While I understand your point I'd like to think the people on here are capable of independent thought and their minds unlikely to be swayed so easily, when most likely already made up.

Hiding the problem isn't the answer.

edit: Well if we could hide it completely, that'd work! But we can't. They're out to cause trouble and if you're that way inclined you'll soon find the article. If we can make our support clear perhaps we can mitigate the nutters.

They won't stop my buying a red shirt or a programme.

Anyone who sends their ST back should never be allowed in the stadium again.

It was always going to be highly emotive and I suppose we have to find a way to respect the views of fellow Bluebirds. I think sometimes there are hidden agendas with some groups, but one thing is for sure, if one group of people decide to leave the fellowship of Cardiff City fans, another, more positive group will be along to share in the exciting prospects for the club.

Hi Musty. Hope you are well.

Disagreement is the spice of life and keeps us all honest.

As said earlier, this was always going to raise a few temperatures, and while I respect people's need for tradition, I would also suggest that nostalgia isn't what it used to be.

Thing is we must remember that how many younger supporters we have going to the new CCS complex and this is just exciting for them ,not all have been thro the vast history of CCFC at Ninian Park like myself as look at the age of say under 25`s now go to the CCS .

This is a new era for the capitals side and has anyone asked WHY us they chose as many a club would throw themselves at them for whats offered .

The best thing the Malaysians can do at this point is to treat these holdout fans with a bit of respect . It will go a long way in all Blue bird eyes IMO

Personally, There are 3 reasons why I don't think this "group" will have any impact whatsoever.

    A. Its an invitation only Facebook group (apparently to keep out the nutter element) I've ask for a definition of "nutter element" but still waiting for a reply. I can only assume if you don't play by their rules, you can't join. The irony here, especially on my TL, is that anybody who doesn't agree with the 'keep cardiff blue campaign' are the ones getting abuse.

    B. For it to have any chance of succeeding, it would need to have a majority of the fan base on board. From figures I've seen, there are approx 350 ppl who have joined, sorry, been invited and compare that to last seasons average attendance of 22,000, its just the naughty kid at the back of the class.

    C. I can think for myself and dont need to be told what I should or shouldn't be doing or how and even if I should continue supporting my club.

Yes, they're entitled to their opinion but if they dont want to follow the club anymore, dont go...its simple.
I dont think anybody actually wants to change from the blue but most of the ppl I know can see the long term benefits (obviously no guarantees) of the proposals. All the drama queens and wums with their 'sold your soul' "ripped the heart out of the club" dramatics were amusing but now just boring. I dont wear replica shirts so the whether or not to buy one isn't an issue for me. I'm just looking forward to the new season :)

The world as I see it

We will still wear blue as an away strip so the blue is remaining. So even though I do not like the idea of a red strip I see the need to accept it.
If VT has a plan to show the bluebirds on his sports channel it will obviously be the home games he will televise in Malaysia. The roar of the Welsh dragon will be heard and he believes he can market us in Asia with the red strip and the dragon. A promising future for the bluebirds.

everyone of us cardiff fans should have an opinion on this change and why shouldnt we.....tbh it wouldnt be healthy if we didnt have a difference in opinion........im on the fence! one side of me is fking angry at the change and part of me died when we moved grounds, the other side is the understanding of how far the game has gone since it was a working mans game.........we need money and if changing colour is gonna give us some then so be it,its a small price 2 pay when you might not have a club as the other option

I can understand people feel it wasn't handled well but let us not forget it was leaked by a so called fan who twisted it before the club had a chance to lay out their proposals.

Also, those who say there is no reason for it and it won't make a difference, well I'm sorry but when you make $1bn in the far east I'll be more inclined to listen to your opinions on the matter. Meanwhile, I'll go with the actual experts.

I'm a younger fan, I'm 25, and I think that people of my age or younger are more willing to accept it and more willing to look to the future. Some may say that disqualifies me from my opinion (not so much here but it happens), well I say out opinions are arguably the most important as long-term wise, we're the future fans who will spend the money and bring our kids through.

If you've asked for an ST refund, then in my eyes, you're not a fan. Go watch the jacks for all I care we don't need you.
