This is not in place of Musty's Prediction league, this is an addition to keep you thinking during the longs Winter weeks ahead. Do you fancy a real Fantasy League challenge? No predicting scores with this one. You are the manager. You select you squad. Ideal for all you Championship Football managers. Some may already take part, but here could be your chance to play against fellow Swansea supporters in our own Swansea Fantasy League. Scores are updated by the Barclays Fantasy Premier League (BFPL). No complaints allowed, only you are to blame. Still interested? Well I propose to enter a Swansea League into the BFPL, then when you have selected your squad just join the league. Even though it will be a fun league, you will automatically entered into the master BFPL table â so you will be playing against millions of others. Basic rules: (These are taken from last seasons league, and you will see the new rules when the league is set up). Select a squad of 15 players consisting of: 1 GK; 5 Def; 5 Mid; 3 For. The value of your initial squad must not exceed £100 million. You can select up to 3 players from a single Barclays Premier League team. Within your 15 player squad, select 11 players by the Gameweek deadline to form your team. All your points for the Gameweek will be scored by these 11 players, however if one or more doesn't play they may be automatically substituted. Your team can play in any formation providing that 1 goalkeeper, at least 3 defenders and at least 1 forward are selected at all times. From your starting 11 you nominate a captain and a vice-captain. Your captain's score will be doubled. If your captain plays 0 minutes in the Gameweek, the captain will be changed to the vice-captain. If both captain and vice-captain play 0 minutes in a Gameweek, then no player's score will be doubled. Your substitutes provide cover for unforeseen events like injuries and postponements by automatically replacing starting players who don't play in a Gameweek. Based on the priorities you assign, automatic substitutions are processed at the end of the Gameweek as follows: If your Goalkeeper plays 0 minutes in the Gameweek, he will be substituted by your replacement Goalkeeper, if he played in the Gameweek. If any of your outfield players play 0 minutes in the Gameweek, they will be substituted by the highest priority outfield substitute who played in the Gameweek and doesn't break the formation rules (eg. If your starting team has 3 defenders, a defender can only be replaced by another defender). Transfers: After selecting your squad you can buy and sell players in the transfer market. Unlimited transfers can be made at no cost until your first deadline. After your first deadline you will receive 1 free transfer each Gameweek. Each additional transfer you make in the same Gameweek will deduct 4 points from your total score. If you do not use your free transfer, you are able to make an additional free transfer the following Gameweek. If you do not use this saved free transfer in the following Gameweek, it will be carried over until you do. You can never have more than 1 saved transfer. Wildcards: A Wildcard allows you to make unlimited free transfers throughout a Gameweek. You can use up to 2 a season. Playing your wildcard will remove any points deductions from transfers already made in the same Gameweek. One wildcard can be played at any time. The January Wildcard can only be used after Gameweek 20 starts (2 Jan 11:30) until Gameweek 23 ends (4 Feb 11:30); as the January wildcard isn't available until after the Gameweek 20 deadline, the earliest these transfers will be active is Gameweek 21. So if you are up for it â Let me know below. If you were to miss a week, then the last chosen team is sent out to play, and so on until you update your playing squad and formation. If there are more than 10, then Iâll set it up. Get your family playing. Letâs get some of our overseas followers playing. The site is known as fantasy.premierleague.com. Have a look if you wish.
We had this going last year didn't we? Someone set up a private league and gave out the code and we all joined. Not sure when you can make a team for the next season, not working as yet. But when it is I am in!
Yes you are right, there was a similar league last year. Just picked your team and basically thats all you did. I did this one through my local pub, and it requires keeping an eye on injuries and transfers, oh and don't forget those that "won't ever play again!!!" I would expect this to start maybe 2 to 3 weeks before the season, as real life transfers may cause small problems with people who select their teams early. I will bring this back closer to the time.
Musty, just for you. Hope you can get it alright, no joined up writing should you should get it fine!!!! http://fantasy.premierleague.com/
