Wow. I totally do not want to be at war with Erasure. I really like Erasure now. Not their music really but isn't it nice to see how crap his dancing is, how ugly they both are and how thoroughly un-campy, unknowingly, massively gay they are? Almost makes the eighties look charming and honest and naive... (I got about three hours sleep last night).
Spurs fans always moaning you are the worst set of fans in the country for moaning your never satisfied and after all Harry has done for you over the last few years. You will never win the league and now be preapred for a season next season of mediocrity and we'll all be set for you bunch of Prats to start moaning again. You want to get in the real world because outside of the premier league alot of football league teams are struglling financially and all we hear about season after season is you lot moaning about something. i hope you get AVB next and i will gladly then listen to you lot moaning as you deserve him. Yes i support a L1 team and i have no time for any premier league team as all you lot do is screw us as much as you can whereas we all have to live on a shoestring so get stuffed Spurs fans.
Andy Bell is openly gay, so I think he knows... I remember one day at college where the teacher mentioned Andy Bell and Neil Tennant were both gay, and one proto-chav in the class had a near nervous breakdown because of it, because he was a fan of Erasure and the Pet Shop Boys...
Are we that loud, that you can hear us in Swindon. Swindon! Pigtown, Thanks for calling, don't stay too long the bright lights will damage your eyes.
Oh - I didn't mean that Andy Bell was not aware that he was gay! Look at that guy! The t-shirt, the turn-ups and the DMs! No - I just meant "unknowing" in the sense of it not being nudges and winks or subtlety. Just a very gay, butch bloke being very gay and if teenage girls wanna like that then they can if they want. But in the meantime this guy's got some very gay clothes to wear and some very crap dancing to do. My dad though the lead singer of Culture Club was a very pretty girl who sung very nicely. After he was told the truth he used to get quite angry whenever he saw Boy George on the TV. I think he really resented the sexual confusion that BG had set off in him. It's always fun when bigots have to face the fact that some actor/comedian/musician/writer/TV Presenter they like is gayer than a Mardi Gras on roller skates.
see the idiots have started to run amock..we will get this for every week we are out of the top 3..we know this dont we Spurs fans? anything less is a 'we told you so' or a 'Harry did that anyway' this is why it is important for us to back the new man..whoever we end up getting because if we dont support him then he has no support whatsoever as i dont have faith in many oppo fans having an in depth knowledge of how football works. ill gladly be proved wrong by them though.
I will back a new man because I am a supporter. But why is "Harry did that" not a valid comment? If we do no better under the new guy then why should we not be able to suggest that the sacking was a mistake?
I'm actually thinking that I need to avoiding this site and all Spurs sites for a while cos I'm just going to feel very annoyed by reading people's horrified reactions (that are already coming out) at the proposed appointments. I wonder if those that voted for AVB or Martinez or Klinsmann etc as our boss for 2012/13 are feeling very sure of their opinions now. The most annoying thing is, of course, that I will not be able to avoid these sites! Of course I will back the new man 100%, will always want Spurs to succeed. But if it all goes downhill from where we've been the last three years I will feel doubly annoyed if people say that "I told you so" is not an acceptable opinion to voice. If we're a way away from CL qualification and not looking good this time next year then people should expect their judgements this summer to be questioned. No doubt at all.
Told us what? That the only man that can achieve success with Spurs is Harry Redknapp? That all future managers are doomed to failure? Don't buy it now and I won't buy it EVEN if the next man in is a flop. This was not and is not the point.
That getting rid of Harry would not improve our position - that is all. If the next manager is a flop I think that those who questioned the logic of sacking someone who got us 4th, 5th, 4th would be vindicated. Very limited and simple criteria that I'm going on here. You seem to be taking a position that is impossible to ever be proven wrong. In philosophy and/of science this sort of statement is called "pseudo science" and is the sort of thing that astrologers, homeopaths, prophets and mediums do - they will never make a statement whereby their theories can be tested to work or not work. It does not get great results. In real science (and in good debating/arguing) you make a theory, test it, see if it works. You build a plane out of cheese, test it, see it doesn't work. Make one out of metal, test it, see that it works. I am taking the position that the next manager of Spurs will find it very hard to do as well as the previous three seasons. If he does not get results like 4th, 5th, 4th then my theory will almost definitely be proven right. If he DOES get these results then my theory could well be wrong. Now I bet you'll say "But even if Harry had stayed we might not have got those sorts of positions". True. Sometimes you have to play the odds. And the best indication of something happening in the future is that it has happened in the past. Since "Spurs finish 4th, 5th, 4th under Harry" has happened in the past that is great evidence for the possibility of it happening in the future. "Spurs improving on recent positions due to [insert name here] becoming manager" has nothing like that weight of evidence. And in the case of some of the names bandied about practically no evidence at all.
"He took us as far as he could" "He had a big mouth" "He had his limitations" three statements I keep on reading on here that is total BS!!!! We are playing the best football in decades - he has a record of 4th, 5th and 4th, if it were not for Chelsea winning the CL Final we would be in the CL next season - and yet still Levy thinks it is not good enough. Now there is the suggestion that Levy could be looking at appointing a DoF again!!!! Does he not remember how that ended last time? Harry had his faults, even I was not his biggest fan - but he was a good man-manager, he was getting the best out of the team. Yes, he got a few things wrong - but then all managers do. Would Levy still have got rid of him if Chelsea had not pipped us at the post? You do have to wonder! So, according to some - they did not have a great relationship! So what - Levy should not put that above the club. Levy got it wrong with Jol, and has clearly not learned any lessons from that farce. Can anyone really blame Harry for wanting to be the next manager of the national team? Its something that many managers can only dream about - and he knew he had a chance of getting that, so he went on record to say he is interested. Levy's meddling is going to set us back years. We already stood a chance of losing Modric, but we could lose a lot more now - Bale, VDV - the heart of our team ripped out. What if Levy has called it right I hear some say? If he has, and he brings in a manager that propels us to greater things - I will not be thanking him, I will thank the manager and the team. Levy has taken too much of a gamble with OUR team. He got it wrong last time when getting rid of Jol (underhandedly too) and bringing in Ramos - and we all know what happened there - and it could happen again. While there are no certainties in football - keeping Harry would not have been a risk - if Harry had carried on for a few more years, getting Top 4 finishes and CL qualification we could have built a great squad, with players wanting to come to us for the CL football and the way he had us playing. Then when Harry retired we would have had an attractive squad that any top manager would want to build on. But no - Levy thinks he knows otherwise. I hope Levy has called it right - but only in the same way that I hope I have the winning numbers for tonight's lottery.
if i was a chairman of a club..i wouldnt give a **** how good we was..if my manager thought he was clever and tried to take the piss out of me then id get rid of him too.
if that is Levy's thinking then it would be he that should go - the same as it would be you who should go if you were the Chairman of a football club!!
Harry's man management skills are overrated Just ask all the players he fell out with at Tottenham, Levy and the "idiot" fans
