Saw someone on twitter mention that, but presumed it was bullshit. Interesting. Would be a remarkable calibre signing. Is he in the Holland squad?

 

No, but he was for the world cup. Not surprising he didn't make the cut considering his "subdued" season for Juventus.

 

Nope he isn't, he only managed 4 games at Juventus after signing for 9m euros, due to not getting many games he asked for a transfer request on the 11th June 2012, which was accepted by Juventus.

Jemal was the player who was about to sign for us then threw his dummy out of his pram and burnt his boats forever. He did it on a matter of principle I believe because he thought his previous team was being shafted.

 

I think it's more that he wanted a cut of the fee.

 

Wonder what he thinks now. If he had done well, he would be in the PL now.

Good on him. I hope he achieves his potential, because he couldn't progress with us.

 

I will be really interested to see how he gets on. I was told that he is superb in training but his handling is sometimes suspect in the few games he has played for us. I'm not counting the Blackpool error, that can happen to any keeper no matter how good.

I see the Daily Star is reporting Lee Barnard of interest to Crystal Palace.
Suggesting fee of £800,000

 

Would bite their hand off for £800k!

 

We were lucky last season that Lallana was relatively ever present. We only had Falque as a reserve after Holmes was sent on loan. Chaplow covered for some games last season but didn't look very comfortable.

Wingers we have cut in a lot so ideally they should be able to play either flank. It's also great to have them swap sides like Lallana & chamberlain did effectively

 

Sadly, Barney missed out a lot with injury and then couldn't get himself back in the side much. He must surely know he's not going to play much in the PL, so at his age he needs to be playing.

 

If Barny is to leave, we should loan him out for six months, because we'll get more than £800k for him after that in my opinion.

 

What happened with Barney's court case? Did it get thrown out in the end?

 

He was found innocent.

 

Ok, good. Pleased for the lad. I shall always remember him playing with total commitment, with his hand bandaged up. On one occasion when he came on as sub not long after the incident, he ran for a 50/50 ball and someone behind me shouted "Knock him out!"
