i think i can speak for every Spurs fan when i say that we appreciate what Harry did for us.....but im actually quickly losing my patience with people suggesting that everything that has had success written over it that has happened to us is down to Harry..thats bollox.

there are many reasons being posted up and down this forum that quite clearly state why Harry had to go....This is THFC not the Harry roadshow..he created some magic for us on the pitch and yesterday i wrote an article basically saying thank you...but all this bull**** about mid table is quite frankly getting on my knob.

even if we do finish lower than 4th im not bothered as the new man deserves time....and i for one will back him to the hilt as i did with Harry...but i just find the doom mongering that i am reading here and there as utterly pathetic and disrespectful to a chairman who has always put our club first.

i know for a fact that whilst we have Levy we will never ever get mugged....and if in doubt just ask Fergie,Berbatov,Pompey,Modric and now Harry...Tottenham Hotspur comes first.


having said all this i think it is important to never forget when someone brings you happiness..for that i will always remember what Harry did for us....but always remember THFC first...if in doubt ask Levy

No one is saying otherwise yet remember dona that not all of us like the way Levy conducts himself so you can't expect everyone to just say "levy knows best" "trust in levy", the guy makes me cringe with his open letters and while im sure he wants what is best for tottenham, i don't believe he knows as much about football as he thinks he does and i am dreading santini/ramos strike 3 or little roberto to walk in as our "exciting young manager".

Lets just wait and see who is brought in before any of us claim we will finish mid table but we have to understand there is more chance of failure then there is of success so its natural for fans to be thinking the worse until proved otherwise.

We are fortunate to have a club that is solvent and (almost always) conducts itself in an honourable and dignified manner. Yes, there have been a few instances where I have not been happy with the way things were handled - most notably the dismissal of MJ - but I have no doubts that the Board always act in the best interests of the club. And this is one of those occasions.
I do trust in DL to make the right calls now and do expect that the new man (whoever it turns out to be) will be given the time and resources to succeed. I also do not expect the club to suddenly knee-jerk and throw stupid money at either overvalued players or indeed manager. If that was ever going to happen then surely it would have been in the last 2 transfer windows when there must have been pressure 'break the bank'to make those 2 or 3 additional major signings.
I am grateful for the job Harry did for us, but the bottom line is that when the push came to shove half way through the season, he effectively showed that Spurs came second to his own ambitions.

Looking forward to next season already!!!

Levy is a top class money man but no football genius, we are moving in a different direction claims Levy but unless he takes on one of a very managers in "world football" that new direction will be lower by some distance than where Harry has left us

Without harry the best we can hope for is 4th and the worse that will realistically happen imo will be a 6th place finish.

If we had kept him then the best we could of got was still 4th and the worse would of been 6th.

The manager of a side is important but not the only thing vital to a good football club.

As has been pointed out above, our 2 other most (arguably) successful managers Bill Nick and Keith B were not sacked. Venables had other issues which influenced his departure, but he wasn't actually manager at that time anyway - he was made Chief Exec and was sacked by Sugar over his business dealings.
But apart from that your argument holds water!! Lol

There are certain figures in and connected to the club, all managerial changes are overseen by a number of people at all clubs, its normal, I'm afraid unless you're privvy to such details you're never likely to know.

ok Boss how do you think we should deal with this? are you not going to back our next man?

you may be disapointed with Levy with this..but over the course of the years he has done wonders for us..all these mistakes he made in the past were a learning curve..everyone deserves the chance to learn..im afraid it was obvious Harry is not someone who is willing to learn.

Of course ill back the next manager, even if it is AVB! as you have to don't you, club comes first yet i'm worried we are going to screw this up by trying to be clever.

As for arry, yes im disappointed with him also as if he was willing to learn and change some of his ways he could quite clearly be a great manager yet even in his current state he offers much more then the names being branded about to take us to the next level.

And this is what concerns me, it seems we have made the change for a "different approach" rather then going for a specific target.
