Hi guys, gotta shoot in a minute but just been tipped off that Villas-Boas is our new gaffer, his odds at Paddy Power and William Hill have been slashed massively and one of the guys at SCITK reckons it's him too and will be announced Monday.

Very weird appointment, not sure what to make of it... Judging him by his Chelsea record - awful appointment but by his Porto - interesting appointment.

I'm only a messenger though and this is the first time I've been tipped off about a Spurs-related bit of info.

I really don't see Levy rushing into something that quickly. I sincerely hope that this is just the usual ITK bollocks, from people who, in reality, know sweet FA.

I suppose we should have known this would happen. There's bound to be more Red Herrings and rumour mill bollocks, before the new manager is announced. And I bet it won't be AVB! At least, I pray that jt's not!!

Would have preferred a more experienced manager and someone that knew the League a lot better but now we'll have to wait and see. At the end of the day might be total b*llocks what I've been told but seeing the odds at the bookies and the SCITK thread talking about it... Kinda tells me AVB will be Spurs boss any time soon.

Anyway, just to add some perspective, Moyes was 2/5 favourite this morning. So, it just shows how much the bookies actually know!

When I was 12 I wasplaying in a match where the keeper dived at a strikers feet and got kicked in the face...the ball bounced around and he got a hefty kick in the nuts...there was blood teeth and puke everywhere and the keeper was carried off in foetal position crying uncontrollably ...

After reading that AVB could be our manager I now know how bad that keeper felt

well am i the only one who is intrigued with this?

i think he can do well for us...would any of you have been happy with Di Matteo becoming our manager after he got sacked at West Brom?

and look how it turned for him with the exact same team AVB had.

If we are honest our squad and playing style would probably match how avb likes his teams to play. It would be a risk but he who dares...

I don't think it was too different from the one that resulted in Di Matteo getting a 2-year-deal was it?

I have a feeling he would be a great appointment as well, as long as he wouldn't be using us as a stepping stone. Harry had no credentials whatsoever before he joined us but the marriage of the right man and the right squad worked well. Dont know why but think something could be good with AVB and a couple of years for him to build us up. Nothing to back this up but then you could find fault with any possible replacement be it lack of premiership experience, wrong style or not having the european pedigree. I believe Harry was lacking in all of these before he joined us.
