I see we're due to play Atletico Madrid in this trophy after the PL season has kicked off on Fri 31st August! Is it being held in a neutral venue? I seem to remember we beat a German side in Sweden to grab this trophy in 1998 which I didn't get to and I'd like to think I'll have a chance to make up for it this time! Any Blues out there know the answer?

it was Real Madrid we beat in 98 Bluemoon, I remember the game well. It was a German team we beat in the European Cup winners cup final to qualify for the Super Cup, Vfb Stuttgart (through a Zola goal)

Indeed, Courtois was commenting on one of the Euro games a couple of days ago, and he said he was most likely to play in the Super Cup against Chelsea.
His loan extension hasn't been extended yet has it? If not I'm sure Chelsea would make it part of the agreement that he couldn't play!
