getting a bit bored with all the lambert nonsense now. he's villa's manager now, not ours and we have an excellent manager in charge. he's who we should be talking about, not the ex-manager.

can we all move on please? some are starting to sound a little like the col u fans...

It's such a weird emotion with Lambert isn't it

Plenty of people have given me stick when he left and I feel initially like I want to kick off at him and slag him off, but then I remember all he's done.

Lambert is a great memory, and I'd have him back any day if the timing was right, but i'm feeling optimistic for the future under hughton.

I want Lambert to manage a big club, I'd love to see him at ManU, but he'll always be the bloke who shot little old Norwich up the leagues, and he's welcome at carrow road any time.

Lambert may have been in with a shout for the Spurs job, hindsight is 20/20

Lambert must be wondering what might have been now. OK, so Moyes is their first choice, but if he says no, they might have gone for Lambert, especially with Rodgers going to Liverpool. And if Moyes says yes, there will be a vacancy at Everton, who may not have the money Villa have, but have a better set of players with a good attitude instilled into them by Moyes.

OK, so in a way Lambert has nothing to lose at Villa because the only way is up from last season, but if he doesn't get Culverhouse and Karsa, I'm starting to think this may have been a 'marry in haste, repent at leisure' sort of appointment. And certainly not the start of the stellar European career Lambert envisaged as he took the next foothold up the greasy pole.

Totally agree. he would not get the job at Spurs but certainly would have been in with a shout for the Everton job, which anyone with an ounce of sense would choose over Villa. Either way, good luck Paul and thanks for every thing you have done. : ))

    Breaking News:

After stating that he is extremely happy at the club and reassuring the Villa fans, who he has already stated he has a great rapport with that he is going nowhere, Paul Lambert has walked out and is talking to Spurs. This has come as a great surprise to the Villa supporters as he has not had the decency to say why he has done this. All he would say is, "I have my reasons". While Paul Lambert would have been great for Villa, it has to be said that the Villa fans would have been great for him and his career too. It all leaves a rather sour taste in the mouth and perhaps sums up the man and his personality. .;)

Personally I think that Lambert should never have left Norwich. We have far more long term potential than Aston Vanilla ice cream, who's form and fans are melting away! Norwich are a club who are constantly growing and improving and could easily increase ground capacity to 40K. This in turn would generate more income for the club and put us right up there with other supposed big clubs like the Ice Creams and Everton! The bigger we get the more likely that business people will notice and want to invest or even takeover the club. Norwich at moment are probably undervalued which would make it an enticing proposition for someone with the right ambition and knowhow.
