Not going to happen, PNP. The Germans are a good still improving, side. But, the Dutch are just shambolic, and will rightly be eliminated.

RVP has now scored as many goals in the tournament as those well known Spurs success stories Roman Pavlyuchenko and Helder Postiga...

He'll do well to catch Chelsea hero Andrei Shevchenko though, Croydon.

You can see why he's the understudy of free-scoring Nicklas Bendtner...

Webb made a sensible decision to penalise Motta for an obvious piece of WWE mauling, prior to a corner being taken, but he then ignored the same behaviour for the rest of the game.
Italy's main way of dealing with the aerial threat of Croatia was to continually foul them.
The Croats reply was filthy at times, but Webb seemed to miss all of it.

The challenge that gave Motta a near-concussion, that managed to include a high knee and an elbow to the back of the head, didn't even get a booking - yet Montolivo got booked for a similar challenge later on that didn't see the player on the receiving end needing to be subbed shortly after.

    Good old Howard Webb.
    Consistently inconsistent.

It looked bad when he failed to give Croatia a free kick on the edge of the Italian area, followed by a slow-mo replay of him winking in the direction of an Italian player.

I did like it when the commentary said "Howard Webb has blown up here" - wishful thinking, perhaps...

If it was a fight, they'd have to stop it, but...Ireland are still standing..

When the ball went in I said"Game over." I still think it,the Irish defence is a shambles.

It's amazing the gulf in class between many of the teams which compete in these competitions. Ireland are not in this,it's all Spain who are miles ahead.

Big goal from Torres, Spain only need a draw against Croatia to qualify now.
