Can't praise them both highly enough they are showing huge ambition for our beloved club. I'm absolutely buzzing already and it's clear from Nigel's words yesterday that there are more signings already lined up. Hopefully J-Rod is the first of many.

When you look at where we were just four years ago it's an incredible transformation. All Hail to the Don and Nigel!!

And long may they continue, though I have to point out that they haven't signed anyone for 15 hours. Unless I missed it, the media haven't made a lot out of our turn in fortunes. I think it's quite a story, from -10 in League 1 to PL in three years. We had decent match coverage in the papers, but not too many puff pieces apart from a couple on the academy. If it had been 'Arry they would have been over it like a rash.
That doesn't matter as much as the fact that we are the luckiest football fans in the world (and epecially on the South Coast). Keep dreaming Nicola...we love it so far.

I'm sure we'll have more coverage when the new season draws nearer

Don't forget, the premiership then Euro2012 took priority once our season finsihed

I also like the quiet approach ... don't let anyone know about us and then step it up come the season! Remember last year? We had been top for weeks while the prerss kept harping on about Poyet and Brighton. By the time they considered us, we were promoted!!

I like the lack of coverage. We can creep in under the radar then boom!!

Exactly! Like the Dr Feelgood song, "Keep it Outa Sight". Britain's greatest ever Rock n Roll band (imho) believed in letting the music do the talking. The current set-up at Saints seem to feel the same way about football.

Whilst admitting that the change in circumstances is almost impossible to believe, I do wonder at times how we will react if we don't start with a bang against the big boys.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the transformation that our chairman has engineered. From having the prospect of life as a new version of our former club to actually realizing that we are a different club though keeping our history as ours.

Hopefully other south coast clubs can find someone to help them in a similar if smaller way.

Saw them on BBC2 last week. Brought back great memories!
