Everton is where he really wants to be, which is fair enough there is nothing wrong with that. But I dont like being used as some back up option which is what he is doing at the moment by the sounds of it.We have been patient enough, give him a 24 hour window NC and if he still hasn't signed tell him to f*ck off back up north. I want someone who wants to be here from the word go.

Money talks so he will go to one of the big clubs. He wouldn't necessarily get a lot of first team football if he comes here...why would we upset our established keeper for someone on loan. He'd be back up which we hopefully wouldn't need. If he was our player, Nigel would be trying to develop him and give him opportunities, but why improve him just for him to leave at the end of the season. Non starter, sadly.
Who says he'd be on loan?

It's happening according to a guy over on SaintsWeb. He correctly names the line-ups for us the night before games (naughty) and has even named late inclusions/exclusions and formation changes. I am inclined to believe this. I'll go for the old "believe him until he gets one wrong" approach.

I'd be very happy if we got Butland, I watched him in that England training session (not much to go on I know) and he showed a very good shot stopping ability.

Most professional keepers are good shot-stoppers. A really good keeper is set apart by his decision making, command of his area and positioning.

Butland has been advised to snub the big teams, not including Southampton. Can hope he takes that advice.

Surely for his development he chooses us.., No well established prem team will have him as first choice.., Or even Sub keeper.., With keepers like Gomez, Lindgardd Sat on the bench..

And with our training facilities.. and staff he will get the best nourishment

Hope this comes off.., I love the thought of OUR team Being all English producing the next Steven Gerrard in Ward-Prowse and Ashley cole in Luke shaw.

To me, it only makes sense for Butland to join us if he's going to play a regular number of games. If that isn't likely to happen, then he's best off staying at Birmingham for a year (or joining a PL side who will give him regular games, say West Ham or QPR)

He looks likely to be in the Olympic squad too.
Would be our cup goalkeeper this season but that's still a few games I would hope. It's a lot of money, but a decent investment.

Maybe i'm reading to much in to this.. But Chaplow is having a few drinks tonight with his friend Neil mellor of Preston..., Coincidence Burnley should be near by?
