According to Sky sports Hull City have gone for Heskey to add experience to the city forward line, other clubs are interested but with Bruce been a former manager Hull are favourites to sign him, we have also gone for someone else but don,t know who and despite all the rumours regarding Turner Bruce said he does not think so

We're only going to sign him because your lot want him.

I've always liked Heskey actually as a player, does a lot of work for whichever teams he's been in without being too prolific in front of goal. However, we've already got a player like that, Aaron McLean, but I think he may well be sold this summer.

He would add experience, but not goals.

It will be silly season now we have a manager. We're going to linked with all sorts of ****e and with players who will be way beyond our means.

We basically need a spine ie. keeper / left sided centre-half / ball playing midfielder / targetman - probably a Heskry type player of 10 years ago.

    Let the games begin.

    http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12691/7801171/Bruce-lines-up-Heskey-for-Hull for those interested.

If we keep McLean, Mac could learn a lot from Heskey, and I think its already been done to death but Hesky could be the player, along with a trained up Mac, to provide Fryatt with a couple of goals every week, and the odd cheeky one himself.

Fab to now move from all the ****e of the last few weeks to speculating about new players, and the Euros start tonight! I might explode with happiness!

Perhaps the released Trevor Carson if he worked with Bruce at Sunderland.

Preferably Gordon, but I think that may be pushing it slightly.

All the things your saying now are what we told you before this report came out, may i turn your attention to the Anti-Heskey brigade thread http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/149836-Heskey

Any team in this league will do well with him in the team.

I for one have ALWAYS been a massive fan of Heskey and you will never find a comment to the contrary. My point to his critics has always been this - ask Michael Owen who he liked playing with the most. There is a reason other players like playing with him.

My only worry is we already have a less good Heskey here in Mclean. We'd defo need to move him on if Emile arrived.

Surely his wages will be a factor, plus Leicester are his home town club.

Heskey would not be on my list but then again he could well prove the ideal foil for Fryatt. As a Free transfer also i can see why this might happen. Mclean would benefit from working with someone like Heskey. Adds to our profile IF it happens,.

Past his sell by date for the PL yes. But a Free transfer. Then again it would annoy old flat top so for that reason alone sign Heskey up. How about getting Owen as well. A Heskey and Owen(another free transfer) partnership anyone

Makes sense to me. Papa Allem getting his own back at the Duty Free Boys maybe ? lol <whistle>

Makes sense i guess. Fans have been asking for experience. Glad no fee will be involved though.

I just wonder what gems Steve Bruce has up his sleeve. I bet his mobile is on melt down now by agents/players.

Glad Bruce mentioned the Man Utd link is still as strong as ever. 3 lads there for starters who would cost little.

They should be sorted already. Assuming that Gary Walsh stays as GK coach.

Thankfully Trevor Carson has gone to Bury and Craig Gordon is wanted by Bolton. Vito for me without a doubt.

Its unclear whether hes been offered anything here atm, i would assume he would have, as our big man has been released.
Hes already said hes looking to stay in the prem, and dont blame him tbh.

I doubt any Prem team would want him, Owen perhaps has a season or two left in the Prem but Heskey will have to settle for a Promotion pushing Championship team,
