Apparently its also because people in the east would rather buy red shirts?? Ridicolous I thought Cardiff football club was about Cardiff not about the far east I know football is all comercial know but you thought somethings were outiside of all that bs it seems not so anymore. I would never accept such an idea for those reasons, I would rather saints floundered than sold their soul after all the identity of the club and its links with the city is why I have so much pride to be a saints fan.

Yes but changing style (sash to stripes) and changing colours altogether are completely different as at least you still have your colours with different styles

Yes, I do appreciate that. I did say it was a major change. I just think that nothing should be set in stone if the change is for the better. Who knows though..? This may completely backfire on them.

China is already a large market and is going to be a huge, in the future. Many top teams have the odd oriental player in their squads to make them more appealing to Eastern markets. I bet Saints didn't just sign Tadanari Lee on the usual basis of parameters, without looking at the his marketing advantages for the club.

There is always a moment that things change. Investment can make a huge difference. Cardiff have hovered on the edge of success for a few years...if investment and kit colour change gets them promoted they will be happy about it,

They should have gone for green with red (like the Bilbao way) would have been more in keeping with the Welsh flag - and a more distinct brand 'colour.' Mind you Red is the colour of success, what with the likes of Man U, Arsenal, Liverpool and new darlings of the football family around the world.
