After reading an article posted on another theead I noticed that Dave Watson could be joining Norwich as goalkeeping coach IF Hughton is made a manager. This would be very good news as he is currently with England. Given Ruddy's recent call-up this can only be good news for us and Ruddy's England future. We also have two great prospects in Rudd and Steer and it will be great for them to learn from him and it may also make them more noticeable when it comes to future England call-ups.
 
We could probably credit Ewan Chester for some of Lambert's signings. Some good ones in Bennett (Ryan and Elliott), Pilkington, Howson and quite a few others.
 
I'm fairly ignorant on why:

1) Calderwood
2) Trollope

would be good additions to Norwich, can someone clarify why they are recommended or we should be excited about these two?

i'll give it a shot!

lets take calderwood first. was spurs youth team manager i think before going into management. had a great record as manager of northampton and then got forest promoted from league one at the second attempt. however, he recently had a nightmare at hibernian, though i'm sure their fans will tell you that it was an already sinking ship he inherited. his style of football was rather direct but he's highly regarded as a coach, certainly more so than as a manager. good motivator by all accounts.

paul trollope is the former bristol rovers manager. looked to be one of the bright young managerial talents early on and got linked to a few jobs after early success but faded quickly and was sacked. then became a coach at birmingham, i presume after rovers as i can't remember him managing anywhere else. i think he may have done some coaching with gary speed for wales too. i heard rumours that hodgson was tempted to bring him into the england setup but nothing came of it.

that's all i know i'm afraid! don't know if they are better, worse or similar to what we had before with culverhouse and karsa, but i'm sure hughton will be a bit more 'hands-on' than lambert ever was - coaching is 'his bag'!
 
Neither are a like-for-like replacement for Karsa, not that I really knew what Karsa did. Apart from let Ilderton know that he's a prick.
 
Ah thanks! Rings a bell. What did he do again and why did Karsa call him a prick. Sorry I must be way behind the times here!
 
Appalling display of refereeing all round, to both sides. The kind of thing you thought would only happen in the lower leagues and then we played Arsenal at the Emirates... Mind you, it was definitely a sending off for Forster and so it didn't really affect the result in the end, but he was atrocious.
 
Well I would guess he used stronger language, he stormed onto the pitch in the tranmere debacle after Lambert was sent to the stands, and screamed at Ilderton. Only good thing about that match.
 
I seem to recall the Tranmere manager walking on the pitch as well. But that may have been because he was also the club physio!
