If it was truely realistic we'd all need to have been coached from the age of 5 to be able to actually drive them to a decent standard. If the onlinee shows anything its that there's a pretty steep learning curve in the game as it is.

Foza and GT are very good, but different games. They strive a bit more for realism, but their still games. If you put on driving gloves to play them and take it incredibly seriously its because you're a twat.

For me the game has to be realistic enough to be immersive, while still ultimately being fun, which is its main purpose. For my money it gets the balance pretty good.

Honestly, the Spaniards on F1 2011 are the worst people to compete with, them and the very young children who t-bone you off the track.
No offence to the Spanish in general.

Never really noticed any particular nationality. Honestly its rarer to find a fair player. I am an advocate of not taking it too seriously so i can accept accidents, but those who actively ruin it for others earn my utter hatred. My main gripe is not actually t-boning. Its those who just start repeatedly bashing you when you get along side them.

I second this. On any racing game i play, it's always the spaniards who either cheat, punt you off, or can't drive properly.

I'm very competitive, so i hate people who don't play the game properly. If someone tries bashing you, the trick is wait for them to swing their car out wide, and brake, that way, when they swing the car back in to where you were to bash you, they'll cross the track, scrubbing off their speed, and you'll fly past them. Works most of the time.

I like the angry high pitch kids who try to get you on Forza. They get a lap down waiting for you and when they try to ram you they become see through and you pass straight through them ;)

I agree, I return the favour by showing them the exit to the track, then leaving the race Two wrongs don't make a right, but it would show them not to try it with you again.

Looking realistic actually, you agree guys?

looks very nice. having skipped the 2011 game i might be tempted to get this one...

My favourite thing to do is when there's someone I know is gonna ram me coming up to a hard braking zone, is suddenly swerve to the side just before the braking zone and watch them fly past me into a wall, very satisfying. I tend to find the worst culprits are teenagers and kids rather than any single nationality, and try to avoid racing with anyone that has names like killer, death, devil, demon, 666 in their screen names, they usually tend to be dicks.

p.s. urgh, I don't like the sound of that McLaren

Damn, my PSN name is deathkillerofthedemon666.

With a name like that I'd expect you to reverse at the start

I've done that on GT5. I reversed at the start, gave the other players a 30 second lead, and wanted to see how quickly the catch up feature would have me back with the group. By the middle of the 2nd lap i'd caught them, and i went on to win (my finest, if most bizzare win)

argh, catch up mode, I refuse to play a game with a catch up mode hard coded in, doing perfect lap after perfect lap to be beaten by someone who has crashed every lap but the last totally ruins the point in racing.

Thats why i've started fannying around, pitting when i don't need to, doing handbrake turns during the 1st lap etc. I know i'll catch people up, why be beaten by a clueless idiot when i can be the clueless idiot?

Great video of the Mclaren, the developers must hate them for having reflective bodywork, it must take so much more work than any other car.
