England defender Gary Cahill has been ruled out of Euro 2012 with a double fracture of his jaw.

The Chelsea centre-half suffered the injury when he collided with goalkeeper Joe Hart during the friendly win over Belgium on Saturday.

Liverpool's Martin Kelly has been called up as his replacement, subject to Uefa's approval.

Fellow defender John Terry's hamstring injury has been scanned and he will be re-assessed on Tuesday.
 
Martin Kelly over Micah Richards or Kyle Walker what a rubbish decision. Sad to hear Cahill out of Euro 2012. Cahill has been excellent he helped keep a clean sheet vs Barcelona and was a star player in Chelsea's Champions League final win against Bayern. If Terry is ruled out as well we will struggle in the group stages.

Kyle Walkers injured too so you can't complain about him not being in the squad, however I do agree about Richards
 
I think it's Hodgsons way of getting back at Liverpool. He's taking as many of their players as he can so they're all shagged for the start of the season.
 
Frank, JT and now Cahill--there's a curse on the Blues in this competition. Lets hope they are fit for the U.S. tour!
 
i thought the push on cahill was a bit naughty to be honest, when the belg shoved him it was obvious he was only going to slam straight into his keeper, he could of badly hurt both of them.

Pity JT wasn't ruled out as well, then they could all have a good old rest. Mind you they'll probably be home in a week anyway with all the Liverpool players being picked.

With the way Hodgson is going he will probably ask Carragher to come out of retirement if Terry is ruled out. Why is he picking so many Liverpool players? I hope Terry is ok and goes to the Euro's.
