Good news indeed

Have you read the post underneath the list that suggests Kevin Bond coming as manager with Holt going to West Ham for 5 million and Michael Owen coming in on a free!! This summers rumour mill is going to be crazy!!!

Bugger, you beat me to it Hucks, I've just posted a similar thread <doh>

Merge 'em dave

Not to worry, kickitoff, I've done that so many times.

And surgeryman, that is bizarre. I'm looking forward to the rumours though, I remember when we were linked with Klose last year - for a second I almost believed it - all the rumours, no matter how untrue they may be, certainly lead to excitement.

Fox is great news as he was most likely to be poached otherwise, and Jackson nice to keep to especially if Holt may be going. As for Ward, it is a chance to prove that he is capable of playing at this level and I hope he grasps it with both hands!

Some of that 26 will have to go though unless we are bringing in Under 21's from other clubs.

Adeyemi, Francomb and Steer are under 21, so that opens up a couple of spots to start with. That's the new RB and CB covered.

If we were in the championship, I really wouldn't have a problem with Elliott Ward.

But we. are. premier. league - and he. can't. hack. that.!

Say whatever you want, but you wont find too many players who are happy to be reliable (not superstar, mind you) back-up for most of the season, accept that they are 4th choice CB and not throw all their toys out of the pram at the same time. You know he will give 100% for the cause and try his hardest, that's good enough for me. <ok>

I'll try my hardest for Norwich but it doesn't mean I am capable of playing in the Premier League. Unfortunately for Ward that is the case.

Before he left PL did say that we would have to get a better squad and indeed we do. Fox re-signing is a real plus on what has been a disappointing week or so and Jackson too. Ward is O.K. as a squad player but we need another quality CB. As for the strikers, a lot now rests on Vaughan who was a passenger last year, now it is time to step up to the plate and repay some faith.

Jackson didn't start but did come on in Canada's goalless draw with the USA. Apparently he put himself about a bit and looked lively, but then missed from 2 yards out at the end when he should have won it for Canada.

I'd prefer he did this while playing Internationals, and not in the Premier League <yikes>, the Binners would have a field day otherwise...circa. Torres vs. Man Utd
