My issue is with the fans getting restless. I mean, we need to focus on the football. Forget the stadium for a year or two. Every year we demand a new big stadium or a bigger Anfield and yet we never show that we can play in it.
I realize the more profits we have the better players we can afford, but without the footballing aspect no one is going to want to play at New Anfield or AnfieldV2.
What right do we have to be demanding results? We ask for a debt free club, we get one. We ask for knowledgeable, realistic owners, we get them. They've invested in this club, and they are trying to make it work as opposed to H&G (though the flavour of the month is to compare the two as the same).
A stadium is a multi-hundred million pound investment, so why wouldn't management take a while to weigh up it's options? If realistically we can't fill it, why make it? Contrary to popular belief, it's not something John Henry can snap his fingers and make.
Once we get back into the CL, then we should proceed to talk about redevelopment (my preference) or relocation. We aren't investors or stockholders to demand major projects like this one be whipped up in a month or even a year.
