The Wild East
Colchester beat us 7-1 at home and we reached the very bottom of rock bottom.

It was a sad day for this club, we needed something truly special to re-ignite our club

David McNally kicked the board up the arse and got Lambert in and we need another one of those moments now

David McNally, get us an inspirational manager, back him with cash (Which we have) and lets push on, this club cannot look back for anybody. You've done it once, lets do it again.

Lambert is a legend for what he's done for this club, and I'm city til I die.

David McNally kicked the board up the arse and got Lambert in although we had to pay compensation to Col Who for misconduct and breach of regulations and we need another one of those moments now

First, let me correct your post <ok>

Secondly, (honest question), do you honestly think that Lambert will go down as a Budgie Legend, alongside the likes of Walker, Bond, O'Neil, and Chase?

No doubt about it, he's done an amazing job for the last three years, back to back promotions, easy survival in the Prem, but the history books will show that all he won for you was a League 1 trophy! <laugh>

Would have been interesting to see how far he could have took you...

31st May 2012 - mark the date in feathers BeefBudgerigar, for this is the start of Norwich City's freefall down the leagues, Bradford City Part II. <ok> ENJOY. <bubbly>

As soon as this small minded football club appointed Lambert into their "Hall of fame" he knew he had taken them as far as he could! <ok>

Beef - My thoughts exactly and has been said on other threads, we may get a more stable team selection, but hopefully still be able to change formation as we did to such good effect last season.

I certainly wish PL well for the future and will always be grateful for how he turned our famous club around in 3 seasons - I had hoped (and still do) that he won't take the job at Villa, but time will tell.

JWM, you were being sensible earlier and joining in with the debate. Now your little mates have turned up, you've turned bitter and nasty.

Ok I'll play nicely but you have to admit that some times you just can't help but take the piss!

For my two penneth I reckon as long as you can keep Culverhouse and offer him the manager's job it will prove to be a masterstroke! <ok>

To be honest, I'm quite happy for you to have a pop. I'd gleefully do the same if your club was in this position (Although you'd be delighted if someone poached Jewell!).

I don't mind if you want to play dirty, I can take it. It just comes across as a little childish when you change your behaviour when your mates turn up.<ok>

First: Don't ever mention the 'C' word on this forum! Actually, on second thoughts, I'm glad you did. It's a very useful reminder of where the problems Lambo's been such a part of unravelling began.

Second: He 'won' something far greater than any piece of silverware, we were in massively deep do-do when he took over, so deep in fact it's difficult now to appreciate just how bad things were. Under his management (on the pitch) the club has been restored to a level of health it's not had in years. He will always be regarded as a legend at this club for what he's done.
